This will be a good fight, going with Rockhold.

Luke looks like a man on a mission. I think he takes this one as well.

Oui, never been big on Lyoto though so that may have something to do with it. I think if Machida gets it done though its by decision. whereas I think Luke HAS to stop Lyoto.

I agree that it should be a good fight, but I'm going with Machida. I may be biased as a Machida fan though.

Lyoto wins this. He beats anyone at the weight class besides Chris. Luke isnt gonna outkick him and his boxing is ass. He doesnt have the pressure game or Tds of Weidman his game is much more rudimentary in comparison. Its not common that he will take Lyoto down either. He can cut the cage off but he wont see success setting up his kicks. His footwork is still bad and Lyoto has the tools to outbox or outkick him. Lukes size might be a problem at first but he will struggle with Lyotos feints and get finished by the 3rd round.

Updated card:

Lyoto Machida vs. Luke Rockhold
Patrick Cummins vs. Ovince Saint Preux
Felice Herrig vs. Paige VanZant
Paul Felder vs. Jim Miller
Aljamain Sterling vs. Takeya Mizugaki
Chris Dempsey vs. Eddie Gordon
Corey Anderson vs. Gian Villante
Nick Catone vs. Vitor Miranda
Kenny Robertson vs. George Sullivan

Cummins vs. OSP seems like a shaky co-main for a Fox show. Not a bad fight though, I guess. I love the Machida/Rockhold fight, but that doesn't even strike me as a particularly strong main event. If there's a title shot on the line, that would give it a bump, but I don't know if it deserves that status.

I see what they are doing with Herrig vs. Van Zant, lol.

Felder vs. Miller looks good. Steep step up for Felder.

**** love that Sterling vs. Mizugaki fight. I'd make that the opener.

I've never actually seen Corey Anderson fight, so I'll try to watch that, as he's like the only prospect in the world at LHW. I guess you could make an argument for Cummins and OSP.

The actual # for this Fox is 15 and Jacare-Romero was just added to make this a proper event. Looking forward to it now between Machida-Rockhold, Jacare-Romero, Felder-Miller, Sterling-Miz, and to a lesser extent OSP-Cummins. I think Robertson-Sullivan is a sneaky good fight

It'll be interesting to see what they put on the main card. Unfortunately the under-qualified chicks probably make up one of the 4. It'll make for some good prelims though if the event stays in-tact.

Nice addition.

Puts that "best performance of the 4 gets a title shot" in play if Weidman (or Belfort) is healthy, and a mini-tournament if not.

I'd guess the top 3 fights as we see them + Jacare/Romero will be the main card. VanZant is one of a small handful of fighters with a personal Reebok deal. I'm guessing she got that because they plan to put her in big spots.

Cummins def qualifies as a strong prospect, IMO. I'm excited to see him fight.

Machida vs Rockhold is an amazing match-up.

Romero cuts his cycle short or gets popped.

Holloway-Swanson added, and this event keeps on getting better and better. I'm not overly complaining, but it's almost too good, when a month earlier they have Carla-Joanna as the co-main event of a ppv. How could that headline if the main event falls apart? They should have had Machida-Rockhold as the co-main, and this event still would have been plenty good enough. I mean some fantastic men's fights are going to be upstaged by a grossly inferior chick fight. It's sexist, man.

People were excited to see someone named Felder take on Jim Miller. That guy is out, Dariush in. Very competitive, oosh. Miller's got a streaking fighter on his hands.

Herrig vs that other one...that's not a good direction for female MMA. And offensive as heck when it bumps Jim Miller - a consummate professional, diligent progress always, exciting fights, finishes - from the poster. Guy's had 15 or so UFC fights, FOTY, FOTNs...Herrig makes the poster.

HERRIG didn't bump anyone, the ufc has their full force behind Paige. Its the works with her, she has like 4 total fights and already has a reebok sponsorship and a fox fight, all because she is attractive. In the meantime, she is 21 years old and already has seemingly very serious back issues. Lots of eggs in a very inexperienced fighter's basket.

Bummer. Second time this fight has been called off.

I hope they keep Jacare on the card, but would understand if they didn't.

I sure wouldn't sign up for Jacare on 7 days notice... Unless maybe they want to feed Eddie Gordon to him.

I'm not trying to be cynical or accusatory but this isn't surprising to me. I'd imagine there are certain types of fighters that we will see getting injured more often now.

Don't worry though, Jacare has called out Bisping to replace Romero.

LOL. Nice job Jacare, way to put yourself out there.

edit: I didn't realize Bisping was fighting only a week or whatever later, still I hope it doesn't happen. Just a gimme at this stage, Bisping has lost a step.
