I looked up the card, expecting this to be the new worst ufc event ever, but it actually isn't terrible.

That Saunders vs. Silva fight is nice, and I'm glad to see Josh Thomson back (seems to constantly be flirting with retirement), but I'm not seeing much else. I recognize a few of the Brazilian guys' names: Trinaldo and Pepey, but can't remember much about them. There's a streak of Leonardo Santos, Leonardo Mafra, and Leandro Silva, so that will be fun.

Saunders is out. Supposedly Benson has said he will fight Silva.

I almost see these replacements as a positive, as now I will probably just skip this card altogether. Maybe DL after the fact and skim through. Still a fan of Maia, and I'd like to one day put a face to the name of Godofredo Pepey. I'm still hanging on to the idea that Kikuno is good/fun to watch, so maybe that one too. If he loses to UFC CAF Kevin Souza, that might be the end of that.

Gilbert Burns. He is indeed top level bjj guy, couple of world champions both with the gi and without, although at times he seems to fall into the trap of fancying himself a kickboxer a la 2010-2011 Maia.

Hate when guys do that. I mean sure, you need to be well-rounded, but do what you're best at if you can, that's the most interesting for me.

Ppl are sleeping on Maias striking. He gave Rory a ton of problems on the feet and prison raped him on the ground before he gasses horribly. Laflare is legit but he shouldnt be the fave even if Demian is old and coming off that bone thing
