That's bad but she can blame on the weight difference, there might not actually be a real difference, but might as well.

Of course Joanna is almost as big as favorite as Rousey.

I don't like the fight. I thought Holly Holm almost lost to Raquel Pennington, and I thought the fight vs Marion Reneau was completely lackluster. She's not a big puncher either, she doesn't have savage KO power, so I doubt she'll catch Ronda. Her only way to win is to stuff takedowns and outpoint her for 25 mins, and I don't think the odds of that is good. I would have preferred the Tate fight or even Amanda Nunes.

Cheapest ticket to this is $100. At a 70,000 seat stadium to view a 30ft wide octagon.

Seems high for the lowest priced ticket, hard to believe they'd get 70,000 with that.

Anyways, Holm vs. Evinger for the Invicta belt would be an intriguing fight.

Ronda Rousey to be first female athlete to guest host ESPN's SportsCenter

I think Rousey / Cyborg would break the PPV record.

Yeah... I'd be all over that fight. Probably the best non-Cyborg/Ronda wmma fight available.

So what time does the main event start? Is it going to be a different start time than normal because it's in Australia?

People need to boycott this fight, nobody should support a domestic abuser like Rousey

Is this event getting the same amount of hype as other Rousey fights? I know it had some ads that got some buzz a few months ago, but leading up to the fight it doesn't seem like there's as much chatter.

Are people getting bored of Rousey? If so, is it just the hardcore fans, who will still watch, while casual fans make it one of the most watched events of the year?

Anyway, here's the final card, barring any weigh in shenanigans:

MAIN CARD
Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET
Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm for women's bantamweight title
Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Valerie Letourneau for strawweight title
Mark Hunt vs. Antonio Silva
Uriah Hall vs. Robert Whittaker
Jared Rosholt vs. Stefan Struve

PRELIMINARY CARD
FOX Sports 1, 8 p.m. ET
Akbarh Arreola vs. Jake Matthews
Kyle Noke vs. Peter Sobotta
Anthony Perosh vs. Gian Villante
Danny Martinez vs. Richie Vaculik

PRELIMINARY CARD
UFC Fight Pass, 6:15 p.m. ET
Daniel Kelly vs. Steve Montgomery
Steven Kennedy vs. Richard Walsh
James Moontasri vs. Anton Zafir
Ryan Benoit vs. Ben Nguyen

Anyone who pays enough attention see anything good on the prelims? Looks like a download/skim event for me, though Rousey fights are always somewhat of an event, so you want to see them live, and I'm looking forward to seeing JJ in her highest profile fight thus far.

Nope. Not seeing much here. I thought Perosh retired.

Main card is the best main card in a loooooong time, possibly years it feels like. I also feel like it's going to be two squashes in the title fights, one old man HW concussion "think of the children" fest, two youngins that throw dynamite and actually some decent matchmaking for a change--- a win is impressive, a loss doesn't kill either guy, and Stefan Struve is fun to watch because he eventually ends up looking like that spider that's still flailing around despite getting whacked with a newspaper.

Jesus, that's a terrible card. Two routs in uncompetitive divisions to headline, two badly shot fighters, an OK / competitive fight, then just terrible fights all the way down. I actually think Gian is a force but that just makes it all the more disturbing he's been given Perosh (who has the courage of 20 men). Perosh has pulled off crazier things before.

Villante has the worst striking defense in the ufc (literally setting records for amount of times he gets punched in the face). And he took his first KO in his last fight. I see his career disintegrating fast now that he is in his 30s and his chin failed him for the first time. Not sure if Perosh is the guy to do it though.

I've been equally unimpressed with Holm since she's been in the UFC. I think she needed more seasoning before getting this fight. Besides, as Dana said right after Tate's last win, that she deserves the title bout because she earned it by working her way back up the ladder.

Completely agree with you. I will be surprised if this fight goes past the first round. Holly has nothing on the ground for Ronda. Ronda will get another finish again. Hopefully we finally get Ronda vs. Cyborg at UFC 200 in July. I liked the Tate or even Nunes fight. Maybe they both can fight each other next to determine the next Number One contender to face Ronda. So, if the Cyborg fight does not get made, due to her lack of desire to want to make 135 Pounds to face Ronda, then Tate/Nunes winner can face Ronda at UFC 200.

I like Holly as a fighter and would have wanted to see her have a couple more tune up fights before getting thrown in there with Ronda. Unfortunately, she will get her arm ripped off in under a minute.

Hunt and Silva II is good for the fans but not for either of their brain cells. Last time these guys clashed they both came dangerously close to drinking from straws for the rest of their lives.
