This is a frickin' MMA Board. I think we should all understand having ambivalence as to what we're consuming.

(those are far more serious than Brendan Schaub's illusions obv)

Not liking a show and still listening to the show is way different than not liking Goodell and watching football. Or not like Exxon and driving car. In this case the "evil" and the "entertainment" are the same thing.

Not that I have any opinion about the show. Never listened to it.

My gut says 50/50, but more logically, you kind of have to favor Rockhold I think. He put a beating on Weidman last fight and that was while on anti-biotics?

yeah but if Weidman doesn't spin does Luke gain the advantage that eventually led to his win?

I see what you mean, but LR had won the round prior to the spin as well. So if the fight was pretty even, and Rockhold was on antibiotics for the fight, hard not to give him a slight edge. Overall though, very close fight imo.

I would lean strong towards Weidman, who apparently showed up in bad shape himself. Longo mentioned maybe even a broken foot?

There's the issue of what was taken out of him by that first fight, though.

Definitely too tight to call/bet. Unless rumors start to float or whatever.

No one wants Khabib under any circumstances. Nevermind short notice. Cerrone would be such a... cowboy to take it .

If Khabib has made it through camp injury-free, it would really suck for him to go without an opponent

Maybe there's someone out there desperate enough for a paycheck and to get into Dana's good graces. If anyone does it they deserve their name on the cage like Charles "Mask" Lewis.

I'd actually factor Weidman as well. It's a very close fight, so you can't really be too far off by calling anyone, but I think Weidman, with more poise, will probably take it.

I honestly think it could go either way. I'm giving Weidman a solid chance even though Rockhold is rightfully the favorite and after the beating he put on Weidman. Their first fight was fairly close until Weidman decided to pull some spinning sh*t.

I hope so. Only because I want to see Nurmy return although I don't want to see Cerrone lose either.

So DJ found out about the TUF getting a title shot from some random fan during a chat on twitch (which for the record I had to google).

Think Bellator could lure DJ away with the promise of much better marketing and a fairly big contract?

Unless DJ is out purely for prestiage of a UFC belt then I don't see why not. I don't know if he's hurting from the Reebok deal like many fighters are but I have a feeling he could be doing better with his own sponsors (Microsoft) and if Bellator can get him a better contract, for sure it's a possibility.

My only other thought is whether Bellator can actually market DJ any better than UFC have, especially when UFC already have some of the best FLWs and even then their roster is pretty weak. It would be incredibly difficult for Bellator to build a FLW roster when even the UFC is reaching for the bototm of the barrel in that TUF winner gets a title shot situation.
