Seems like their should be better options. Can't think of any though off the top of my head.

And Cruz might win it again next year.

That is the oddest/most depressing list I have ever seen. Can't vote.

What about Cyborg? Didn't fight for 18 months before coming back in 2015 and convincingly smashing her two opponents in the first round.

I actually agreed with you until I saw that the Struve fight actually happened last year (in December, oh so close). So he was 2-0 but he was 2-1 last year. If the Struve fight were a month later, he would have been 3-0 in 2015 after a 1-1 2014 and an 0-2 2013 (and 0 fights in 2012).

I struggled mightily to come up with people for this category. Usually there are a few guys who jump right out, but this year there was no one. Odd year.

How about Tamdan McCrory? He did have one fight in 2014 but before that it was a 5 year break.

He was one of the first people I thought of, but like you said, technically he came back in 2014.

Perhaps we should be less strict with the criteria if needed. I seen one publication had Arlovski as comeback fighter of the year.

He was nominated last year and lost to Cruz.

Maia isn't a bad choice here, 3-0 with wins over Nelson, Magny, and LaFlare after a 1-1 2014.

Moraes is a good fighter, not sure why he fights so rarely.

Julianna Pena would also fit.
