Turns out he was on his way to court for a burglary while talking to Ariel.

So far he's high fived the ring girls, made the dumbest face off in UFC history, "forgot" to cut his nails for the fight and bit them off in the ring, had his cornermen make racist remarks to his Asian opponent, knocked that poor dude out like 3 times in 2 minutes and now has one of the GOAT interviews with Ariel on the MMAHour.

I, for one welcome our new UFC hero and hope you will join me in singing his praises.

Says he is walking around with 10k of hundred dollar bills in his pocket because he's never had that much money before.

Kind of feel bad for the dude, although I'd probably feel even worse for the people he burglarized if I knew that story.

I bet Spikeforce is bemoaning they lost out on the controversial speaking former criminal. They're under their promotional quota since Brennan Ward and War Machine got put in jail again for flipping out and beating people viciously for free.

On the UFC.tv broadcast of UFC 202 -- purchasing PPVs online provides fans with alternate camera angles and corner audio -- during the pre-fight introductions for Perry and Lim, a voice can be heard from Perry's corner clearly saying of Lim, "He can't even open his motherf**king eyes."

UFC middleweight Alex Nicholson was one of the men in Perry's corner, and after some speculation that he was the one who made that taunt, Nicholson himself confirmed on Tuesday that it was his voice on the audio. He has since apologized on Twitter.

Let's not forget he has "God's Gift" tattooed across his abs.

What a witless taunt anyway, that should be the source of embarrassment.

100% not surprised somebody in his corner would say that after hearing him talk in his post-fight interview.

"He's not what MMA deserves, but he's what it needs right now."

Hey guys, it's okay, Perry says the comments have been blown out of proportion.

"What did he say? People may have taken it wrong," he said. "I think people's opinion on this has been blown way out of proportion and they need to calm down."

When told it was something to do with Lim's facial features, which would be considered insulting, Perry spun his version of events.

"I don't know," he said. "I don't think any of my competition can see me, and when I hit Lim I opened a lot of people's eyes."

Told that the comment was made before he hit Lim, Perry joked.

"Well, we can see the future."

I'm glad that's settled.

I agree with cbr, just such a stupid taunt anyway. Did it come from the cornerman who looked like Sylvester Stallone? If so, I forgive him.

TBH, its kind of sad that his and his corner's antics have led the narrative, as opposed to his performance. Lim is a good fighter IMO. He kind of seems like a dude that always finds trouble though.

I also loved his jesus comments during the mmahour interview. He factually stated that there was only one god, ariel tongue in cheek asked him which god is that and he kind of aggressively said JESUS CHRIST. Ariel was just like...ok.
