I totally forgot that Max Holloway is the interm champ and how ridiculous that whole thing was.

He sort of deserved it anyway, even if it shouldn't have come from that specific fight. He's on a 10-fight heater or whatever and Jose, Conor, and the UFC made him wait ridiculously long for a real shot. He's a paper champion of champion caliber and resume.

Silva gives no f*cks. I wanted to see him against someone like Rashad Evans next, instead he's fighting Kelvin. :(

It's weird. I feel like Evans would be an easier fight yet probably worth more in the eyes of most UFC fans. Maybe I'm not giving the just bleeders enough credit?

Or maybe that isn't weird, and Silva still just wants to fight the best guy he can.

Shaping up to be a nice card, anyway.

The fact that it's in Rio makes the matchup more interesting than it would be otherwise. Maybe there's some magic left.

Maybe Silva can blunt the raise of another potential contender with an unconvincing decision.

Getting decisioned by Silva these days probably means you're not much of a contender.

Gastelum might be one of the only fighters I could picture being willing to throw first and let Anderson look for counter opportunities. Even Brunson was gun shy. I think that'll be a really entertaining fight tbh.

I think this is going to be the swan song for Silva after a devastating KO.

Kelvin Gastelum is out due to failing a test for marijuana for his last fight.

Man Gastelum is frustrating. He is his own worst enemy.

They need to get real with suspensions over weed as well, who gives a rats ass.
If they tested weed in the NBA, half the teams would fold.

Meh. He smoked some pot.... I'm not gonna harp on him for that tbh. Gastelum can do a lot better than continuing to pick a part past their prime fighters anyways. A fight with the loser of the Whitaker (probably) - Jacare fight is better suited for him.

Man, but he smoked pot in competition knowing the consequences. If they tell you not to eat purple colored foods, no matter how stupid and arbitrary that is, you are still responsible for not doing it and it's weird if you can't handle that.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.
