I would take Barnes in a 2nd if he was there at #6...Put him at SF, Batum at SG....Barmes has a great mid range game and would be POR BEST shooter the minute he steps on the floor....I think his game will be better as a pro than in college

One guy I think would be worth taking a chance on with a second round pick is Hollis Thompson from Georgetown. He's got phenomenal size for a SG and is a lights out shooter. He's a low ceiling guy but I think he could be a serious asset off the bench to give us another option to stretch a defense besides Babbitt.

Matthews/Williams/Thompson is a trio of SG's with very different playing styles and strengths which would be a good thing.

Hollis could be a steal in the 2nd but another guy who I think could be an awesome backup C from GTown is Henry Sims, he had a massive improvement from his Jr to Sr year & his offensive game is actually much better than some scouts have given him credit for. He'd be perfect as a 2nd round pick that could help off the bench.

There was a report out of Ohio from the Cavs Beal/Barnes workout that the Wizards have gave a strong indications that they won't let MKG drop past #3. It's looking more and more likely that the Cavs will be a big deciding factor on how this draft plays out.

The Cavs & Barnes seem like a match made in heaven unless Jordan grabs him at 2 which has to be a thought for him bc of his "safe" label.

Beal, MKG & Barnes are going 2,3 & 4 in whatever order idk but im convinced thats how its gonna go. Robinson may sneak in to Wash, I cant see Charlotte or Clev going Robinson, Charlotte should though

Although Cleveland should go Drummond & build for a future of Kyrie/Drummond, Byron Scott is the perfect coach for Drummond.

If Beal, MKG and Barnes went 2-4 I would be ecstatic. I am super high on Robinson, though I don't think many others are as high in our community. Picking whatever is left between him and Drummond would be amazing.

At 11 I think I'm down to Waiters, Jones III, or Rivers. Because I am a draft stan I'd like to see us try to acquire a mid first rounder for Terrence Jones if he slips.

The Bobcats must be in a dilemma for their best course of action is to trade down
with us to get picks 6,11. All the other teams seemed to have locked into who they
want for Washington and Cleveland seem to want shooters unless Drummond's
physical potential sways them. Sacramento is in good shape for Robinson/MKG
would be a great fit for them.

It's an interesting draft and I could see Portland passing on a player like Robinson
if they felt he would not be a fit alongside of LA in favor of Lillard. It will be interesting
to see who works out for us in the coming week. I'd like to see MKG workout in
Portland in particular.

The new GM seems to be running a tighter ship than the previous GM's but it seems
to me Portland is working hard to mask their level of interest in any other players
other than Lillard which leads me to believe our picks on draft night might be a
surprise.

I have had these thoughts as well.

This to me would depend on if Perry Jones could play pf-c. Having him fill a Lamar Odom type role for Portland

Idk, I'd take Barnes #6 if he was the only "Tier 2" player available. Then shop him to see what teams would give.
Damian Lillard stats tracking:

82 Games
19.0 PPG ; 6.5 APG ; 3.1 RPG ; 0.9 SPG ; 3.0 TOPG
.429 FG% ; .368 3P% ; .844 FT% ; 16.45 PER

I actually think he will be mostly a SF in the NBA so you would have potentially a HUGE lineup (if those were the picks) of Drummond, LA, PJ3, Batum and ????

Hollis could be a steal in the 2nd but another guy who I think could be an awesome backup C from GTown is Henry Sims, he had a massive improvement from his Jr to Sr year & his offensive game is actually much better than some scouts have given him credit for. kdawg...Clarity....I like both Thompson and Sims as well along with O'Quinn as potential solid contributors in the 2nd round.
Lillard was great....but now the rebuild begins in earnest.

It seems pretty clear at this point that Thomas Robinson is going #2 to the Bobcats. The only way that doesn't happen is if the Bobcats trade out of #2, then all bets are off for how the draft plays out. But ignoring that possibility, I don't see any way Robinson slips to 6. Robinson's floor would probably be 5 as the Kings could pair Robinson and Cousins, which is a much better pairing than Drummond and Cousins.

If the Top 4 shakes out like this....

Davis
Robinson
MKG
Barnes

I wonder if the Kings will try and trade out of the #5 pick? Beal would clearly be the BPA, but the Kings have absolutely zero need for another SG.

That would be worst case for the Kings IMO I think they would trade down maybe to 6 or 7 for some cash or a 2nd rounder, most likely cash and future consideration.
