The list of players you would trade LaMarcus for?

LaMarcus value is at alltime high, just wondering who in the league would you have trade LMA for straight up? This is what I got so far -

Lebron James
Dwyane Wade
Kevin Durant
Derrick Rose
Dwight Howard
CP3
Blake Griffin
Melo

Anyone else?

Agree. I wouldn't trade him for Wade though based on age and injury history or Paul. Having one guard with no meniscus it enough. Griffin is questionable too based on the year off due to the knee injury.

Surprisingly short list.

That just about covers my list with Deron Williams. I MIGHT consider Gasol but age would be a factor in my decision.

LMA and Howard are both 25, do you think LMA, being a better shooters and more go-to moves, can develop to be a more dominant big man than DH12 in next few years?

No. Howard is a physical freak. LMA will never be as dominant on the defensive end as Dwight is. On the offensive side? I'll take the new and improved LMA because of his ability to shoot it from the outside, and now get to the rim and finish. But Dwight is so far and away the most dominant post defender in basketball that he will always have more value than LMA if he continues to play like he is

wow this board is rediculous lmao aldridge isn't even an all star and you guys wouldnt trade him for more than 7 guys in the league SMH theres at least 20 guys I wouldn't hesistate to trade him for and another 20 that I would have to think hard about

LA is untouchable IMO!
I bashed his game for a long time, jacking up shots and being soft, but the current LA is the man and never seems to be injured and goes out every night and plays hard, so he is untouchable currently.

I'd trade Aldridge for Dwight, but Aldridge is LIGHTYEARS ahead of Dwight offensively. Dwight's offense is always going to be limited and mechanical.

I would not trade LMA for Blake Griffin. LMA’s playing style has kept him free of major injuries. Blake’s style of play is rather wild. Sure he is posting good numbers, however, he is an injury waiting to happen.. Not wishing another injury on Blake. I would not gamble on Blake over LMA..

He has truly improved his value,and I wouldn't WANT to move him. I would for most on that list. Probably not Wade just because of age and fear of him breaking down. Maybe not Blake. Can't explain it, and sure I'll just get flamed. But I think LMA's game is more conducive to winning. Or, LMA can fit in any system, but Blake needs a system. Either way, probably not. I'm not a big fan of building around PGs as the best [player on your team, personally, but just on value, you take Rose, Deron, etc. Difficult part is how up and down some guys can be/. A year ago, you'd likely easily include Brook Lopez in that list, now....not so much. I still think with his size, and the rest of the league, you can have him as your C and be fine. And obviously, when someone says they can name 40 people, it's a list that's just looking at people better. Sure, if we were a top 3 seed, you take Dirk for him. Where we are now? No. There's no point.

Blake Griffin has a medium-range shot, in case anyone forgot.

If you could trade LA for Blake, you do it. You can't speculate about injuries, you just kind of have to do it.

you could argue it either way

Griffin is a highlight reel but he also has a good fundamental foundation. t-rex arms though

Aldridge has a lot more length, and it is basketball so length is important. If Aldridge continues to improve and develop his post game, especially with his left hand, he becomes practically un-guardable in the post. That's the key to winning in the NBA, and it would make Aldridge more valuable for any team interested in contending.

Griffin certainly has a high ceiling, but as Blazer fans know, there's no guarantee a player reaches his ceiling and remains there

The Blazers are winning the games they're winning because of Aldridge. If they had Griffin instead of Aldridge, Portland would be a lottery team
