Ramon Sessions just signed for 2 years/$4.2 million. I can't help but think that was a missed opportunity by Portland.

Fixed. Seriously though great deal for Sac, not sure what that helps them accomplish but good for them. We should've, but I don't think Sessions was asking for 2mill a year in July, which is what we had to work with. We could've held out and hoped into Sept, but we would be weighing the risk of letting other backups off the market.

Joel looks really good in that video, don't be surprised if he surprises us again and gets into the rotation.

Faried with 12 million a year....
Still mad about that draft, but what do people think of that contract?

Re: The NBENFANT Thread (NBA): Offseason Edition
I agree, this doesn't add up. Budinger at around $5mil with a player option next season to Robinson at just over $3.5mil. I do like Budinger and think he's been unlucky the last couple of seasons with nagging injuries, but he's a bit redundant at the moment with Portland's roster.
It doesn't sound credible at all. Now the player I would like, and I mentioned it during the offseason before they signed Steve Blake, is Will Bynum, who is supposedly being traded to Boston for Joel Anthony of all people. Bynum isn't the playmaker that Blake is but he is an intense backcourt defender, an area where I've been harping about with Portland for a couple seasons now.
And I guess if I'm talking about Boston looking for cap room Jeff Green could be had for expiring deals. He would be a solid sixth man at both forward positions. But Boston has lots of forwards so I don't know if they would want Robinson and Dorell Wright.

Re: The NBENFANT Thread (NBA): Offseason Edition
I have a hard time believing the Blzers would be interested in Budinger...the guy is a total injury magnet
besides that, despite his reputation as being some dead-eye 3 point shooter, his career mark is only 35.7%. That's below mediocre for somebody who has averaged 6 attempts per36. He not a strong rebounder, and he's not a good defender...hmmm
he also has 5 million/yr due for the next 2 seasons. (although if Olshey picks up TRob's 4th year option, it would only be 300K less then Budinger)
can't see this deal as being considered on Portland's end
