Too many flaws ruling.
There's no point in even addressing them.
You haven't visited in two days, but if you do again, perhaps you'll read this.
If there's no point in addressing them, then perhaps there's no more a point in passive-aggressively bringing it up. There is a report function for a reason; all members are able to use it. This may be a surprise to some, but we actually do things outside this board. I assume your complaint was in regards to the bench thread, and the comment you quoted. You'll notice another mod addressed the rising level of insults by posters, you included, shortly down the page of the thread.
Here is the simple reality, shaolin: It is perfectly fine to be on either end of the spectrum - whether very negative, or very positive. I am sure people from each side
feels those on the other can be naive, but no one here would begrudge your right to express your own disappointment in the Blazers. Likewise, I doubt anyone would damn other particular posters for always putting a positive thought on developments.
However, there is a significant difference in expressing one's disappointment in the Blazers only and expressing one's disappointment in the Blazers while calling everyone who disagrees with them naive, brainwashed, idiots, mindless cult members, fools, homers, this new theme of multiple people bringing up the same old quotes or once held thoughts every time in an argument with someone they probably consider an adversary, rose-colored glass wearers, slow, narrow-minded agenda havers, sheep, and any other number of names and/or adjectives people feel like throwing up against the wall that particular day.
Additionally, the same would apply to those on the extremely positive end of the spectrum. There is a significant difference in expressing one's positivity in regards to the Blazers only compared to expressing one's positivity while calling everyone who disappears with them naive, brainwashed, idiots, haters, sheep, this new theme of multiple people bringing up the same old quotes or once held thoughts every time in an argument with someone they probably consider an adversary, bitter, fools, narrow-minded agenda havers, and any other number of names and/or adjectives people feel like throwing up against the wall on a particular evening.
There seems to be this ever progressing development, from both sides, that the way to go about dissecting someone's argument is not to point out whatever you feel is a flaw in their position but rather to call them a bunch of names, generally try to make them feel like they're the dirt beneath your foot, or outright question their sanity, emotional well-being, and their ability to form a coherent argument or their ability to comprehend it.
That is going to stop right now, from everyone.
There is an ignore function for a reason, use it liberally if you must. If you do not wish to see the posts of someone for either holding a vastly different opinion which grates your nerves, or you simply don't think you can restrain yourself from attacking them - then use it. There is the option of simply disengaging with someone, or agreeing to disagree as the old saying goes. Use any of these. Use the report button.
None of us here are idiots, more naive than the next just for holding different opinions, haters, homers, sheep, cult members, or even gods.
I am, however, pretty sure most of us are adults. So we're all going to start acting like it.
