Little late on this comment but in response to a previous comment

When in doubt blame the refs not the Blazer crappy play but the refs --- come on -- we all knew this game was a loss -- take the loss and move on.

Gotta say I'm a little peeved that Stotts chose to rest Batum, Aldridge and Kaman. This was a winnable game. This is surely why I am posting on a message board and not coaching myself, but there seems to still be a lot at stake to be tossing away a winnable game like this. If so, why not rest Lillard, too?

Stotts should give the 4th quarter to Frazier and CJ...why risk Lillard or Blake in a conceded loss?

So you're going to make this remark on one comment from one poster as if a bunch of us were saying things like that?

I agree homecourt is important but having your team alittle more rested and as healthy as you can get going into the playoffs is WAY more important. I would call some fans comments short sided but in a way i also understand your point just do not agree with it.

It may very well be short-sighted. But Portland does a lot better at home than on the road - HCA is there for the taking...

Why not rest them toward the end, then? Or why not just sit them for the rest of the season?

Moon like i said i do not fully agree with your point but i do understand it cause it is a good point. I just value the team being a tad more rested and maybe even a little more healthy going into the playoffs then homecourt.

Well we have this game within reach at least we aren't down 8 with 30 seconds to go. Meyers is having a HUGE game and has helped this team battle back.

and pass up another comeback attempt? Portland leads the league in double digit comebacks, which is both great and unsettling.

Thaddeus Young allowed to spend the entire offensive possession in the key with no call.

This is clearly 8 on 5 basketball folks.

Oh, I concede that there's a good chance that I'm not seeing the forest through the trees here.

Can't get over that horrible no call when RoLo was hacked from behind.

I'm also not sure if this team is mature enough to have home court in game 1-2 yet, I mean with the starting 5 fully in tact and fully healthy I can see home court being valuable but we saw what happened to Houston when they lost games 1 and 2 at home. This team is a better home team by far I agree, but they aren't helpless on the road it has taken big nights from guys like Wade and others to even keep this team from winning in places lIke Miami and Washington.

I sincerely think that Aldridge was benefited by going into Houston among family and friends in game 1 and 2 in that series.

You also have to factor in what this type of game does for players like Meyers and CJ it lets them really get out there and do what they want to do.

Yeah, that was pretty bad. I think Lillard got away with a foul on a DWill 3 as well, but the RoLo dunk attempt was blatantly obvious.
