Blake Griffin???

Post#1 » by Goldbum » Tue Jan 26, 2016 11:47 pm

Not sure what it would take to aquire him but seems like his valuable has taken a big hit and N.O. has a history with him.

Would something like CJ, Noah and Henderson for Blake and Hawes be enough to start a conversation?
Blake + Dame seems like a good foundation for future playoff runs....

I think his value would need to fall a lot more for us to have any sort of shot at making it happen.

Portland doesn't have anything close to the type of assets needed to land Griffin in a trade.

If the Blazers were to go in that direction I'd rather have Cousins...if just for the entertainment factor and the occasional 50+ point game...

I don't think his value is very much impacted. He is a young All-Star, a winner and one of the most marketable players in the league.

Don't want him within 300 miles of the Blazers.

What I really want is a video of him punching that guy. I'm just dying to know if the other guy was screaming "I sue you!" like Ha did during the Sinanovic fight.

presuming the Clippers did want to trade Blake, they wouldn't want any of Portland's assets. they're built as a win-now team, and wouldn't want to waste Chris Paul's final productive years developing McCollum and Vonleh.

I worked for Ballmer for a decade, and while I barely know the man personally the way he managed Microsoft was definitely as a "win now" organization. I think even if Chris Paul were to lose a leg and Griffin were to go to prison for five years, he would still be trying to win now instead of piling up young assets like what we're doing.

Blake plays even less defense than Meyers... But he's a freak offensive talent. Doesn't matter Portland, doesn't have the type of assets to get him.

Hawes isn't with the Clippers anymore.
