I know, but I also believe that's what it would probably have taken for him to re-sigh with Portland. not saying Portland should have kept Batum and offered him that contract - doing so would obviously be franchise limiting. but speaking of franchise limiting moves, how did having cap space this off-season go?

it wasn't so much the use of cap-space that was the problem. It was the use of Bird Rights on Crabbe and Leonard afterwards...that's franchise limiting IMO
