Not a good team, but Melo and Porzingis both strike me as bad matchups. They should be able to get to wherever they want against weaker, occasionally interested Blazers defenders. On the other hand, it should be bombs away for our guys from deep again, as the Knicks don't much care for contesting all the way beyond the arc. If Noah doesn't play, Lillard may have a red carpet to the rim, too.

Yeah, I have this feeling that Lillard is going to go nutz tonight... Just a feeling..

I think if Aminu plays, he'll concentrate on defense and hounding Melo, which won't stop him, but hopefully it pushes him into an inefficient night. The Unicorn on the other hand... ugh.. he might go for 50 against us. I would put Leonard on him early, give him the boogie cousins treatment, and beat on him a little and see how the Zinger responds.

Lillard always plays great in MSG, don't expect anything different tonight.

I expect Porzingas to have a big night.

Good start. Got 'em stretched out already. The Knicks hate covering a lot of ground defensively. At the other end, Harkless and Plumlee are contesting Melo and KP, and Davis is rotating. Rose and Lee are going right around Dame and CJ, but whatever.

Wally Szczerbiak (MSG analyst) is more enthusiastic about the Blazers than Calabro and Hurd.

Not sure what was up with Davis in the first couple of weeks, but he's looking good again. One of my favorite Blazers.

If this keeps up whereas he fits with the starting lineup, it makes me wonder what happens when Aminu is healthy again.

Well, starting Davis only works when he or Plumlee can guard the opposing four, which won't always hold. In general, I like the pairing, and it really surprised me that Stotts refused to use them together last year, even when it didn't create a matchup disadvantage.

It's crazy how far Harkless has come in, like, the last 35 games.

Happy to see Portland stay close. They've been on shaky ground lately, but hopefully will turn a corner. I blame my bronchitis for Portland's relatively poor play of late. Fear not, the antibiotics are starting to work!

We've been picking on McCollum and Crabbe a lot lately, but to watch Dame play defense, you'd think he's being instructed to allow dribble penetration. Did he learn to play with a dominant shot-blocker behind him at Weber State, or what?

I like all the off-ball movement and hustle tonight. Predictable problems with staying in front of guards and communicating defensively, but at least the effort is there. I like the good guys' chances of closing this one out.

Also, have we mentioned lately how nice it is to see Dame finishing so much better at the rim?

Get Meyers out of there asap...

You lads think we could swap Meyers for KP? :(
