Grizzlies VS Blazers, semis, ESPN2, NOW!

We're midway through the first quarter of this semifinal game versus the Grizzles. Turn in now to catch Caleb and the rest of the guys go against Memphis!

Olshey being interviewed and talking about Caleb. Sounds like he's already envisioning him as a starter. Talked about him playing alongside Dame, CJ, Aminu and Nurk....

Blazers have come from 19 down to take a small lead!

It isn't a Blazer game or a run without a goal tending call going against the Blazers!

I'd really like to cut Pat and sign Stokes to a non-guaranteed.

I hope Gutierrez catches on to some team as a third point guard. He has nice passing.

Also, I'm happy they took out Jake. He was messing up the rhythm and forcing everything with selfish play. Maybe that sit down (he's coming back in next dead ball) will get his head right.

Yeah, he could make a salary dumping move of Ed Davis more palatable.

Hunter and Cleveland look like young guys that a team could take a chance on as well. I do wonder what the Blazers will do about our 2 way contracts.

He doesn't have a lot of size (Stokes) but I think he'd be a real good garbage man four in a small ball lineup. Circumstantial use, a niche player, but a good one to have.

Who would have thought after the first three regular Summer League games that we'd be in the championship game?

I'd love to get the Lakers and Lonzo Ball for the summer league championship

I watched some of the 1st Q, most of the 2nd Q, and all of the 2nd half. After watching this summer league team:

* Swanigan maybe plays above the rim a little more then Zach Randolph did, but he does take up some space. I'm not sure about him yet....I want to see him go up against NBA front court players before I form much of an opinion, one way or the other. He shoots a lot though

* Jarnell Stokes is better then Meyers Leonard

* Dillon Brooks is better then Jake Layman

* Jorge Guiterrez may be better then Shabazz Napier, but then...summer league

* Pat Connaughton should probably try baseball

I think Swan plays a niche game that will be successful at any level you put him against...he's too skilled and too motivated not to succeed. Collins on the other hand will have a lot more work ahead to be NBA ready.

Agreed. I'm by no means unbiased when it comes to Swag, but I just think he has too many intangibles and translatable NBA level skills not to be at least a rotation level talent.

Kinda fun, I don't see Portland having much of a chance against LAL or DAL tho. Summer League is a guard oriented game, Ball and Smith Jr are better than any guard the Blazers have, so that'll kill Portland in the final game imo.

Ball has some tightness in his thighs so maybe he'll miss the championship game :D
