If it's just Lamb why not announce the full trade?

Do you guys even want Richardson? You didn't work him out and Vlade hasn't mentioned him at all, has he?

Vlade was asked about Richardson but he said he couldn't discuss the trade till July 1st... I've been asking around why this trade can't be completed till July1st and no one can answer it for me.

Richardson is a HUGE need for Sac. 100% he is a guy we want. He's also been working out with Cousins in Vegas



I wonder if July 1 is due to your cap situation? If so that could mean it really is 22 for Marco

The only reason that the trade couldn't be discussed is if they are thinking of a S&T. Otherwise they would just say, "We're doing X and Y and it just can't go through until Z."

My current working theory is you guys are going to make a big FA signing (Conley?) and you want to S&T Lee.

It was reported yesterday (I think) the Kings will go hard after Lee in Free Agency. If he's included in a S&T here, what's the benefit for Char?

I don't think Lee is in our long term plans since we already have MKG - just too much money for a likely backup. I see it as us extracting value because we have his bird rights. Not sure what you guys would send our way though. We need a backup PG and C, and we have a new NBDL team this season and I expect we'll try to pull some prospects.

My strong suspicion is this turns into a three way trade and we end up taking on Monroe and Brogdon, Richardson goes to MIL with Belinelli (they desperately need 3 point shooting and fits with Giannis as playmaker), and you guys get Lamb and Lee. We stay above the cap and either try to sign Lin to the MLE or try to pull MCW from MIL.

I see Koufos as the more likely candidate.

SAC out: Belinelli, Richardson, Koufos
SAC in: Lee, Lamb, Hawes

CHA out: Lee, Lamb, Hawes
CHA in: Belinelli, Monroe, Brogdon

MIL out: Monroe, Brogdon
MIL in: Koufos, Richardson

Something along those lines. Maybe add MCW to CHA and Belinelli to MIL.

So my question is why say #22 went to Sac if it never does as your trade would propose? I think Kings keep Richardson and CHA sends an asset to MIL

I just figured SAC doesn't actually plan on playing a 19 year old Euro with very little pro experience as their primary backup big. If Koufos goes out in the trade you will only have 1 big on your roster over the age of 22.

I agree it seems odd for Richardson to be the announced piece if he doesn't end up in SAC.

Vlade and Peja have been scouting Papagiannis for a long time. I can't see him going anywhere, Vlade already said he thinks he can be a future all star. It sounded like they expect him to play 15-20 mpg next year.

I can't see anything being involved in that deal that's too major. The trade simply can't go down because the Hornets can't take on the salary yet.

Here is an update in terms of Kings talking trade :

You heard it here First :

MINNY has approached the KINGS about a possibly trade of Rubio & either Lavine or Payne for Gay & Butler .

I want to just be clear this has been presented in serious talks but nothing for sure a trade is more so dependent on what Sac & Minny both do via free agency .

Minny wants veteran leadership to add to their Young roster & they love their pick Dunn and want him to start right away & the Kings like Rubio for a point guard however he is not their first choice .

Kings also like Conley and also like Lin a but as well . Also depends on if KINGS resign Rondo or not .

Kings will pursue Conley hard if not will have to likely pursue Lin or pursue the trade though again getting neither does not mean we will for sure trade for Rubio though .

By the way for all whom keep talking Shumpert can't say we would never trade for him but from asking about him in the past the Kings have never had much interest in him so far .

Trades that are talked about quit often never happen . We shall see if this deal happens or something close to it does depending on teams tweaking the deal a bit .

Rubio is a no go for me. The Kings can't get WORSE at shooting. Not sure why they would trade both, I would guess the Wolves called about Rubio and the only name that came out of Vlades mouth was Lavine.

James Ham just tweeted that the Kings want Courtney Lee. Maybe that is part of the Belinelli trade that will be effective July 1? Estimates are Lee will make $12 million per year. If it's a sign and trade it would possibly create a trade exception for the Hornets.

If dozencousins rumors are true and Conley is main free agent target, whch makes sense because we need a PG, it would be an excellent summer to come away with Conley, Lee, and Ryan Anderson.

I still think we need to move McLemore and Koufos if we got Conley, Lee, and Anderson. Would also love to have Curry and Acy back. Then next offseason Curry would take over for Collison as back up PG.

Your assessment is pretty much spot on . What a couple members above fail to realize is the trade rumor situation is 100% true & accurate . Kings are very unlikely to entertain that much further if they gain confidence is signing Conley . Anderson is really iffy right now though I & most all have always wanted Anderson to be a King . Hope we can get him as well though I doubt we can get all 3 you mentioned . Only way I see we have a chance to do that is by trading Mac , Koufas & Gay & that's really iffy if we have to take alot of salary back .

Lee & Conley are 2 main targets if things fall right .
