He's in. ^^

It's just telling me I can't set the keepers until the teams are set. So we just need to hear back from the owner of La Bombastik! one way or the other. If he doesn't check in within a few days, Perezident will get his team.

As for the draft, KIE, that can totally be changed. I just set a more or less random time and day because it wanted me to enter something.

Have you registered your team yet? Unless I'm mistaken, you haven't.

I may be mistaken.

Just try to get them in within the next couple of days. Or I guess, let's say a week from now. And we'll have to have all of the teams set up by Friday the 9th.

On that note, I'll announce that my 4th keeper is Manu Ginobili, but it's subject to change if Baron Davis gets moved into a very beneficial situation for him.

Unless Davis goes to Orlando, I can't really think of another team that would make me take him over Manu. New York, maybe.

You know despite how horrid my team was last year... I really like all my keepers.

OK, I logged on from the invite. Sorry it took a bit, we had my bro-in-laws wedding this weekend. I had forgot tomwntion that the timing is really bad for me for the draft because we have a big family holiday party at my house starting at 2:00 that day. Any chance of either different day or a later time?

I think I'll just go with Beasley as my fourth keeper since none of the others really have me thinking "keep him!".

Absolutely. I just set the draft at that day and time because it wouldn't let me proceed without entering something.

Well it appears everyone has returned. But we also have two that would like to join. What do you guys think? Is there a way to do this effectively with a keeper league?

Maybe we can do it this week? I have finals next week so that won't be ideal for me.

The problem with doing it this early is that there's still an entire offseason to go through that could potentially drastically change the value of a pick.

I'd rather wait and do it closer to Christmas. That's going to be tough schedule-wise for me because I work during the week at nights (and I assume during the week during days would be tough for most of you), but hopefully we can figure something out--like maybe Christmas Eve or something. Otherwise, we can do a draft that isn't live. That wouldn't be the end of the world.

Right now I want to focus on whether or not adding other teams would be doable. I'm hoping some of you guys who have more experience with leagues like this can give some input.

I prefer doing the draft closer to Christmas as well, since I have final exams and auditions that I need to intensely prepare for.

As for this-

I don't know, but perhaps reduce the number of keepers and let the new guys pick a few dudes or whatever before the draft, so they can at least have some top 40 players on their roster. That, or we just start all over. No keepers and have a lottery to determine draft order.

Well I joined last year and chose keepers from my new team.

Didn't you take over somebody else's team that already had its players set up?

Yes he did and so did I, but I made it work pretty well for a first timer.

I'm all for making it three keepers and adding the other two who want in. As far as I can see they are both regular valued posters from the board and would be a great addition to the league.

Also I am completely flexible about any day/time outside of 7-11pm on Saturday the 17th, and the 18th until at least 8 or 9 o'clock.

Alright. If a few others get behind that idea, we'll do that.

Return to Sacramento Kings
