LOL @ putting the blame on the Mayor for the on court celebration. Did he make them cry at the press conferences, too?

I think they are trying to save face, I don't believe them. I do believe the Kings will stay in Sacramento with or without them, but I don't believe that is what they truely want. In order for them to get approval to relocate they pretty much need to come off as "we tried to do everything we could to stay but it didn't work out". I think they are realizing they or "george" came across like a irrational douche bag and that press conference couldn't of gone any worse for them. So now they are trying to save face. And maybe they do want to stay here now but if that's the case it's probably because they know they don't really have any other options and they do not have the money to sue the nba.

Although I must admit Joe comes across much better than bozo george. Why george is calling the shots is beyond me.

Actually nevermind I figure it out. George doesn't care about sacramento and nobody really relates him to the kings. So if and when he comes across like a douche bag (which is what happened) then joe and gavin can later step in and look like heros, since they are the ones associated mostly with the kings.

This is an insane turn of events. Sorry you guys have to deal with this crap. Hoping for the best in all this. However, no matter what, in other parts of the country, the Maloofs come off as bozo's and cheats, while the city, Kevin Johnson, and the fans have done everything they possibly could to placate the Maloof's. Insane.

It is my opinion that the Maloofs paid the Gubernator at the end of his term to go after the state workers wages to escape Sacramento while it was in temporary severe economic pain.

Sacramento is a entirely state worker economy while LA would not be affected.

LA was the place the Maloofs wanted and a Hollywood actor like Arnie understood the action hero routine for cover fire for the Maloofs to escape.

This is why the Maloofs are dragging their feet. They have their eyes set on the richer LA area.

The Maloofs have to go as owners.

The Kings have not had a winning season since the 2005-06 season doing thing their way.

6 coaching changes in past 7 years.

People like the Maloofs and Daniel Snyder are obsessed throwing money and at every problem instead of being like Mark Cuban who has built an extremely stable and reliable franchise in Dallas.

The Maloofs have kept Petrie who is reliable but their coaching changes have undercut him over in personnel.

It is a fight for Sacramento to keep the Kings and weed out the Maloofs.

That defies common sense. Arnie doesn't nor should he care about a brokeass family in Vegas. You're trying to link your apparent hatred for Arnold and your hatred for the Maloofs and it ain't working.

The state government is going after state workers because they need to. It's Sacramento's fault for spending all of our energy in trying to keep state jobs here when we should've been encouraging private investment.

David Stern was just on local LA radio. 710espn, you can probably catch the podcast when they put it up. But they had a segment about the Kings situation on there. Not sure if it's news to you guys or if it's already been said, but he mentioned some interesting stuff. Basically he told them that the league took extraordinary measures to keep the team in sacto. More than the league has ever done for any other team. They offered basically to loan the Maloofs all the money they needed for a new arena. They were handed deals where the Maloofs would have no up front costs when the moved in. But it was all turned down by the Maloofs. At the end of the interview though, the host asked if the Maloofs had the right to do whatever they wanted and Stern basically said "they have no rights that we don't give them."

Interesting.

I'm really starting to think that with this new CBA the Maloofs look at this as an opportunity to suck the financial titty of the NBA and rake in the money from the big markets. I totally interested to see if they do spend the money they say they are to put a quality team on the floor.

The Maloofs don't want to be here that's perfectly clear. They don't want to spend any money, so Stern does everything in his power to make a deal work for them. They have to play in Arco one more year then what's going to happen?

Well, if those points are true that will be 100% proven or or not this summer. I just hope they don't spend just for the sake of being able to say, "See, we spent money!". Right now is the time when a team can spend to the detriment of their team if they close off potential needed options down the line.

I really think I'm right about this:

Stern also warned that the Kings would be making a mistake if they rely on the league's new revenue-sharing program to make do at Power Balance. The program, which redistributes money from wealthier teams to less lucrative franchises, can be altered by a vote of league owners.

"I think that is a mistaken calculation by them," Stern said. "I don't think that is what the revenue sharing is meant for."
