Knowing our luck, Utah is offering the GS pick but the Maloofs say "hold on here, keep your pick, send us the cash!' :(

With the Brooks acquisition, this was inevitable. A Warriors top 6 protected pick is very legit. I don't think they've improved so much or can stay healthy enough to make the pick inconsequential. I'd pull the trigger if that's really what's on the table. Maybe we could do a New Orleans and pull #1 and #10 next year.

That's a killer deal for a guy who we thought would have zero value right now. If it's real, THEN PULL THE TRIGGER! NOW!!!!

Forget the gs pick. The best the Jazz are offering is to swap Raja for Jimmer. Jazz might throw in a second round pick to take Raja off our hands.

Top 6 protected? Wow, hopefully Warriors do well and then Curry/Bogut get injured to give us around #10.

I still like Jimmer but he just doesn't fit. This would be good for him.

Funny funny!

The cash is to pay Watson when they cut him. Watson is not needed here he would just be sitting on the bench in a suit with a make believe injury.

This is a PERFECT deal. I really hope it goes down. We get back the lost pick inthetrade last year to replace the mistake made in that draft.

The only otherthingwould be to somehow dump Salmons.

SMH. Y'all never seen a bad rookie year before? I swear our fan base for being in mediocrity for so many years still feels the need to act like it is one guys fault year after year. I remember when Kevin Martin was holding back Tyreke's developement. too. Let's give the guy another year before we say RIP to his career. Some very good players have had bad to terrible rookie seasons.

I don't think many people are saying that. Saying they'd trade him for potentially a 7th pick next year is no knock on the guy's potential. It's basically an admission that our team is crowded at his position and if we could in essence get a re-do so we can grab someone at a position we need that high in next year's draft, we do it. I won't speak for everyone, but I don't think too many of us are naive enough to judge a guy based on a shortened season with no summer league, no training camp, and very few days off between games. Especially when the coach was misusing him constantly.

As the roster stands, Jimmer will likely be getting garbage minutes for two years until Brooks' contract is up. Are we really going to let a lottery pick rot on our bench like that for two years, or turn him into another lottery pick next year that can maybe fill our currently abysmal SF slot? That's where I suspect many people here are coming from. If not, I'm with you.

Just fair warning, if this trade happens don't expect the pick to be anywhere near 7. If the pick is anywhere close the Dubs will simply tank it back. Best case scenario is probably 14+. If the Dubs aren't a lock for the playoffs, they will no doubt tank to get the pick back. Still, #15 for Jimmer would be a good trade for you right now.

Seems to be fair market value for the Jimmer to me, since that's probably closer to the range he should have been drafted in anyways.

If we can get players of this caliber with that pick, I'd be pretty happy with that.

Warriors pick is going to be somewere between 12 and 17, they're a really nice team right now.

But I'll do it, it's a nice pick anyway and Petrie does well with that kind of low picks.

Jimmer is just a tyrke evans part two. A black hole. He dribbles the ball too much and makes his own shot, that is hit or miss. He is not a pg because he doesnt create for others; That's what i saw on the HL, and also on summer league.

Yeah, a lot of this isn't really true--not that it matters, because Jimmer more or less blows regardless.
