Knick fan here in peace. After watching Acy last season, can you guys give me an honest assessment of what kind of player we have? I trust fans to know more about players than lour ocal journalists, so I'd really appreciate the responses. Thanks!

Tough scrapper. Can finish at the rim strong, plays decent D, good athlete. Seems to get along well with teammates.

Has been working on outside shot in the off season but did not have it last year. I think he is trying to add that shot to stay in the league.

What is he today? Semi athletic tough garbage man that people like.

What he could be later? Stretch 4 if his jumper comes, with some nasty.

At his price he is perfect for 9-12 role on most teams, I'd say you have a coin flip he has a long career and probably gonna depend on getting that jumper.

Am I wrong to think of him as an Anthony Mason type?

He is tough like Mason, not as tough but has as much heart.

Not the rebounder Mason was, but I'm sure he learned a little bit from Reggie Evans, he also lacks post play and is more of just a finisher.

I think he could average 10 points though with a jumper and minutes, that would take him a season or two though.

I don't think he will ever be on that level of play, no way.

I'm an Acy fan but he's nothing like Anthony Mason. That's too optimistic. Mason was a nice offensive player. Acy is purely a hustle player, solid but not great on defense, and no impact on offense.

I see Acy as a Malik Rose type player, is that fair to say?
