2014-2015 RGM Kings Fantasy Basketball

Post#1 » by ADoaN17 » Sat Sep 27, 2014 7:22 pm

I sent out an email to renew your fantasy team from last year. This is a keepers league so choose 4 players that you want to keep!
The draft order will be based on the standings last year, so the worst team will go first.

3 more need to rejoin and we need someone to take over Drizzy's team. I'll post his roster later.

Here are the top guys on the roster:
LeBron
Dirk
Kobe
Rubio
Robin Lopez
Paul Pierce
Brandon Jennings
Greg Monroe
Dion Waiters

Make sure you guys choose your keepers!

What should we do if the 4 owners do not return? Add those players to the draft board and continue with 8 managers?

Yea I think so, unless somebody else has any other ideas.

Anyway I set my keepers as Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, Dwayne Wade, and Dwight Howard.

If you still need a manager, I'd be in. Active in fantasy hoops.

That would be great! What's your email? There's also 3 other managers who haven't responded so you will have first choice out of the 4 rosters.

For those interested, it looks we have 9 managers now with the imminent addition of Sacramento_King, with room for three more assuming the previous guys still don't show up. It's a head-to-head keeper league. It's first come first serve with the remaining rosters to pick your keepers, otherwise they'll be added to the draft board.

Anyway, is everybody cool with having a live draft next Friday at 7:45pm PDT?

That time sounds good. Is there a spreadsheet with rosters to review?

I'll try to make a roster spreadsheet tomorrow if I can find the time. If anybody else wants to volunteer, have at it.

I was half way through making it :(

EDIT: And make sure you pick your keepers through Yahoo if you haven't or don't know.

how are the picks decided? Are we doing like the old Keeper League where last year's champ picks 1st, 2nd place 2nd, 3rd place 3rd, and 4th place 4th... and then the rest go into a lottery system?

I thought in previous years the worst team gets first?

nah, when KIE was comish, we would do first 3 or 4 spots get in order of finishing, and rest is done through lottery.

I'm fine either way. The former system that einz described was designed to reward those who did well in the league the previous year. It can be argued; however, that it has an effect on parity.

Maybe we can delay the draft until we get some more people to weigh in.
