I loved Peja as a player and hope he is suited for the role he is being offered.

I think it's more about hiring somebody he knows he can trust 100%.

Yeah.

I remember reading somewhere that Vlade brought Peja in several weeks ago because he is virtually the only guy he trusts 100%. I wouldn't be surprised if the last 30 days or so was one of the most stressful moments for him and having a guy like Peja around helped Vlade.

If I would have to guess what role Peja will play, it would some sort of an advisor to the Kings -- Vlade.

To me it really depends on the role Peja would be hired for. I'd love for him to be part of the organization in some form. The article said ' player personnel' which I think of someone dealing with trades/draft etc which take specific acumen IMO. But if Peja is coming here just to work with the players etc which might be 'player personnel' as well, I'm cool.

Vlade said this week's ago... He also said Peja has other plans at this time but the offer is always there when Peja is ready.

I'd be extremely worried if I was a Kings fan, you jumped from the boiling oil (Maloofs) to get into the fire (Vivek), what a share of bad luck with ownership/FO.

Vlade trust Peja. Peja does know basketball. Vlade is in a postion of power and he doesn't know if the people around him can be trusted or he knows that some can't (im looking at Dean Oliver). He brings in a guy he knows he can trust. It has nothing to do with not liking analytics or cronyism. That will be proven when we hire another guy in that position.

Just people trying to shoehorn any KINGS story into a negative cuz it's easy to do. Much harder to get national views and clicks by telling the truth and saying Vlade is cleaning out the old PDA hires and possible sources of the leaks.

I would read national opinion but... Has there ever been a franchise picked on more in the media? Lord have mercy. Can't even read it anymore

I acknowledge there's a very solid chance the Kings are still not good next season, but I do remember when Memphis made their leap to legit playoff team, they were heavily scrutinized the off-season before when they had a mix of Z-Bo, Iverson, Gay, etc.

There was a report we were looking at Bobby Marks at Sactownroyalty, who used to be with the Nets http://www.sactownroyalty.com/2015/7/27/9047067/report-sacramento-kings-bobby-marks-meeting-gm-position

What was weird about this is I literally just heard him going in on us when he was on realgm radio a few days back
