Going into the draft my two guys were Thon followed by Skal. Unfortunately maker was taken before we had the chance but Skal has looked legit in SL competition thus far. I actually wish we took him instead of Henry Ellenson as at least Skal can work on the defensive end.

What has been the general consensus amongst kings fans of Pappagiannis? I almost spat the water I was drinking out when I saw the pick.

I don't think any Kings fans are happy about Papa.

There's a basic blueprint that could workout, but its hard to sell that with Cousins, WCS, and KK here.

Let's see how he looks in preseason after training camp. He may look better once he's in better shape and gets used to the NBA game a little more.

If you told me by mid way through the regular season he looked 10 times better I'd believe it, or if he looked just as bad I'd believe it too.

Wait I didn't know Skal was a legit 7 footer! Makes his game even more impressive. 7'2.5 wingspan? And shoots like that? Wow.

Ya that why his hook shot is unguardable and he will get shooting fouls from big trying to block his shot as well. I honestly think by next year he'll be starting next to DMC, match made in heaven.

One thing I'd like Skal to get more used to is being a catch and shoot player. He seems to hold the ball and look to create rather than just taking the wide open shot. It was nice to see him be able to create but once he gets a quick release down he might indeed be a perfect compliment to Cuz down the line. I was also impressed by his defense. He's more physical than you would expect.

One of the things this SL did is shine a light on the variability of WCS' career. I've never been his biggest fan but there is a large variability. The no nonsense coaching staff can potentially keep him motivated and playing a positive role in line with his attributes and have him contributing as a solid big, but there is a floor to his career that I think many don't want to consider. With a kid like him I hope for the best, as the franchise cannot take another lottery mishap right now

Does anyone think Labissiere can play the 3?

I don't want to find out and I don't get why people would want to put him there. Let him develop at his natural position first. He's be lethal at the 4 with his jumpsuit and ability to go by 4s.

I'm not calling for him to play the 3. I'm asking a question in the realm of things that aren't going to happen. The Kings have already decided to develop him at the 4 by adding weight... Well instead what if the Kings had chosen for him to keep a thin frame to play the 3. Given his skill set do you think he could do it?

Didn't strike me as being capable of playing the 3. His handle was pretty slow and not too great and I'm not sure he'd have the quickness on the defensive end. I think he's better off putting on a little size and being a stretch 4/5.

David Stockton heading overseas on a 3 year deal. Good for him.

Happy for Dave. It was clear that he has skill but was just born alittle too small for the NBA. He was just a liability on the defensive end. But he can definitely run an offense. I hope he has alot of success overseas. He has worked hard and deserves it.
