Jordan Farmar, Kings Agree To Deal

Post#1 » by KF10 » Tue Sep 13, 2016 10:08 pm

Read on Twitter

Jordan Farmar has agreed to a deal with the Sacramento Kings.

Farmar finished last season playing for Dave Joerger with the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Kings also have Darren Collison and Ty Lawson at point guard.

Well our depth is odd, but at least something is there now.

More to come in a trade or two most likely here soon.

I see a 3 player backup PG guard battle brewing in camp. I can't see both Farmar and Lawson sticking with the team the whole year.

Yes, the depth is a bit odd because too many players get in the way of one another. If Gay and McLemore come into the season with the team this is going to be a sticky situation because someone is getting pushed from the rotation. Heck, even if they were moved there are still potential issues. I just hope this isn't another circumstance where the Kings finally brought in the right role players and they end up getting forced to the back in an effort to continue to put that square peg in the round hole.

Odd move. Unless it means a 2 for 1 trade I don't really get it. I can see iCousins and Patterson being cut but who would be the third cut? I don't think they would sign Lawson and Farmar just to cut them in camp unless it's a total trainwreck.

Well, he played minutes on a championship team, right?
