Well we have a game in 40 minutes. :D
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

Something I've been concerned with is the Kings lack of strength up front with WCS and Skal. Really encouraging to see Papa bang around with Adams and not look overmatched physically.

Welcome back tank! We missed you.

After watching Papagiannis today I'm optimistic he can fill the back up Center role next season.

Not a good game but still some positive things for moving forward.

Papagiannis was very solid in D-league but I had some concerns with how his game translates against NBA big men.
Today he had a very promising performance. Here is my thoughts on PapaG:

*7'2 but runs the floor faster than anybody on the court
*good positioning for rebounding and have a good basketball IQ, understands the game
*could have a go-to-go move with his right hook
*very smooth free throw shooting
*he's still 19, and looks like he's improving at each game

With WCS/Skal/PapaG, it seems like Kings will have a good chance of having a strong frontcourt within a couple of years.

Good to see PapaG have a game like that. So, all the Kings rookies have had sparks of brilliance this year at one point or another. If they can all get on the same page they could surprise some teams.

Other than WCS/Hield I was pretty impressed despite the result, Papa and Skal still did there thing. Skal/WCS/Papa you got your skilled/stretch 4 in Skal, WCS the athletic freak/lob machine and Papa the grown ass man in the paint I like the future.

I did not know Papa had potential feathery touch on the jumper either.

Good on Papa. A lot of people in here wrote him off as soon as they heard his name, and I'm not saying he doesn't have a long way to go because he does (I actually don't think he will develop properly for another 3 seasons at least) but he has all of the tools to become an exceptional big man like Vlade expected.

I agree, however 3 years isprobably too much. I've been watching him play all his professional career (as he was playing for my team in Greece). I didn't expect him to play 20 minutes against a team with strong centers at this level so soon.

This is what i wrote when he was drafted : viewtopic.php?p=48290258#p48290258

I stand by most of what I said. He has become leaner, and his stamina, at least what I saw in the last game, is better than expected at this stage.

As I said back then, lots of gym and work on the body and 5-10 minutes in the beginning and increase in the future would have been better, but it seems that playing in the D-League had its benefits as well.

Apart from his shape, his baby hook shot looks very strong, he seems to be dealing well with stronger opponents. In about a year he will be fir sure in the rotation with good impact, and I hope he can improve even more.

I think if you keep doing the good work on his body and strength and he gets 15-20' in rotation we would develop rather quickly. And he is only 19!

I was also impressed with what I've seen from Skal so far (I was already a fan of WCS). WCS/Papa/Skal looks promising for years to come. Maybe Cousins leaving , even in a bad deal, was a blessing in disguise for you guys. All the best in the future.

My internet has been down for a while so I missed this game, but nice to see that Papagiannis got on the stat sheet.
