People who are saying "Oso is more mobile than Trevion" that is like saying "Kuminga is a better athlete than Moody". The mobility difference is EVERYTHING in this case. Not even comparable players in any way. Trevion was never a legit NBA prospect. Oso actually has a chance.

No kidding. You're not telling us anything we don't already know.

Clyde said Oso would be a good fit on the warriors. I said that lots of people said the same thing about Trevion last year.

No kidding, we all know Oso is more mobile and a better defender than Trevion. That still didn't stop lots of people from saying that Trevion would be a great fit on the warriors last year.

That's all.

They were definitely wrong about Trevion, just like they (Warriors fans) were wrong about McClung. Oso might actually be a good fit but only if he can play the 5. And it will be hard to play Oso and Kuminga together.

Ok, I'm definitely coming around on Oso.

Only thing is, I think he may be returning to Marquette. He hinted that he's returning in an interview the other day.

He sorta reminds me of Boris Diaw (in a good way).

Oso is returning to Marquette. Could turn out to be a wise move. He was either a 2nd round guy or undrafted. And even if he goes 2nd round, as we've seen these past couple years, it can be rough for 2nd round picks trying to earn playing time in the NBA and carve out a role.

He has gotten a lot better each of the past couple of years. Watch out - I bet next year Oso comes back to school and is even better than he was this year. Wouldn't shock me if he puts in a ton of work over the offseason on his jumper, keeps working on his handle, keeps getting stronger physically and ends up going 1st round next year.

I've had Oso as a late first / early 2nd but he's one of my favorites of the players in that range. Would love him on the Warriors learning from Loon and Dray.

I see a lot of flashes of old man Boris, Kyle Anderson, Looney, etc. Basically someone you put at the 4/5 and he just kind of adapts to whatever is needed because of his high IQ and all-around game.

he's a younger jr so it's fine from an age standpoint, just don't see the general point of returning, he can improve just as much as not more under an NBA program that's will to put in the time and effort into him (but maybe that's the cause for trepidation).

Marquette should actually be better next year tho, even if they lose Omax to the NBA.

if I had to draw up a combo big type for the Warriors to learn under Dray/Loon Oso would be it.

Got him ranked around #26 at the moment.

Thoughts on his height? He's now listed at 6'11" (and 235 lbs) on marquette's site:
https://gomarquette.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/2023-24

I believe his whole career prior to this season he was listed at 6'9", 215 lbs.

Did he really grow 2" at age 21?

It wouldn't shock me if he really is 6'11" now. Watching the game vs UCLA, it did look like he was an inch or 2 taller than Bona, who is listed at 6'10" (perhaps he's really 6'9" and not 6'10" ?)

Well Oso was listed 6'9" on Marwuette's site last year and is listed 6'11" on Marquette's site this year. So either he grew, or Marquette's site was wrong at some point..

As for Bona, he does look more like 6'9" than his listed height of 6'10"..

i just don't see 6-11 for Oso, probably 6-9 at best, and Bona probably 6-8 tbh

Yeah Marquette probably just put 6'11" on their website, thinking it might help his draft stock, give him some more buzz..
