No, since I really dont know what rubio will be in the NBA. Turner is NBA ready right now, and will almost certainly be an All Star someday. It is too hard to translate what Euroleague players will become in the NBA. See Darko Milicic and how he was hyped coming in.

Dr Mufasa wrote:I compare him a little more to Joe Johnson than Brandon Roy because of his build. He'll be taller than most SGs which will help him shoot the rock, but won't have the brute strength of Roy.

Nevertheless the destination is the same - 20/5/5, playmaking SG.

johnson has a stronger build then roy. roy hardly ever gets by based on just pure strength. anyways i see him as a broy type player. very nice prospect hes a can do it all type player. i actually think him and iggy can coexist contrary to popular belief that they cant.

I think brandon roy is a good comparison. no player is exactly like another player but evan turner seems to be like brandon roy. I think he will be a very productive pro.

Williams though is much much more explosive than Turner. Since you're comparing him to a Net, I'd say the more accurate comparison would be Chris Douglas-Roberts on roids, with better handles.

Is it just me or does Turner remind anyone else of this character:

If he had the athleticism of John Wall then he'd be drawing the Grant Hill comparisons. Then again if he had the athleticism of Wall he'd be one of the most sought after draft picks of the last 15-20 years with that size and versatility.

ESPN posted a Top 5 no-step vertical list a little before 11:00 AM CST.

Jordan Crawford Xavier 36"
Evan Turner Ohio State 34.5"
John Wall Kentucky 30"
Darington Hobson New Mexico 29"
Xavier Henry Kansas 28.5"

TMac is his ceiling. His height, wirey frame, length, and now he is showing he's an elite leaper are all TMac like. He also has this laid back looking game like TMac.

T-Mac had him by an inch and a 40 inch vertical as a 18 year old. Turner will never be an elite athlete in the NBA.

TMac had a 40inch no step vert? Turner's no step vert is elite.

I heard he ran a 3.27 on the sprint which is also pretty nice as well. Can't wait to see the official max vert time.

I think Turner is perhaps underrated as an athlete because his overall game isn't flashy. It's a smooth game. I think he really could be a Joe Johnson type of player but he's an even better playmaker than JOe.

I think Turner will be good but im not buying into guarnteed 20-5-5 (does seem more likely than not though)

and I wouldn't use those athletic measurements they're notoriously bad, Harden was more athletic than Derozen if I remember right by those

Remember John Wall averaged 4 turnovers a game, so if you're going to mark him down for that g0ot to mark John Wall down too especially since he had way more talent around him.

Tmac was one of the biggest freak athletes in history. He is no where close to Tmac. Tmac is the only player I've ever seen that would stare down a defender and rise up on him over and over again.

I don't think his athleticism and length are Tmac like at all.

I agree. And T-mac's 7'0" wingspan is really freakish for that height and skillset.

Its hard to compare highlights, but here are two in depth vids that show the entire repertoire of Roy and Turner:

Roy:....20/51%/40%/5.6/4.1/2.3TO(SG)
Turner:20/52%/36%/9.2/6.0/4.4TO(PG)

I think Turner looks a bit more polished as a finisher, but less of a shooter. Roy makes a lot of tough shots, while Turner's moves get him looks that are cleaner. But again, this is based on detailed highlights.
