Give TNT the draft back!
The draft broadcasts have been horrible ever since ESPN took over in 2003. They make everything so boring and stale. TNT was so much better.

blah blah blah this guy was a big reach at this part of the draft
blah blah blah this guy has a lot of natural talent but teams are worried about his attitude

Re: Give TNT the draft back!
I don't know if I agree with bringing on TNT. How about we give draftexpress and maybe a guy or two from net a chance?

Re: Give TNT the draft back!
^ Man I;m with you jman. For diehard draftniks its infuriating to follow these college guys and then come draft night listen to Jay Bilas say the same damn thing about every player, not take a stand on how a guys career will end up. Then you have JVG who I like overall, but clearly has no time to watch colleg or even prep for the draft after the finals, and worst of all Stu Scott tell us out of nowhere to "get this yall, this splayer has a fear of spiders" TNT wouldn't be much better mainly b/c Charles isn't funny anymore.
I know people don't like him but Chad Ford would make the coverage a million times better on ESPN. They had a group of guys covering the draft combine including Ford, JAy Williams and Len Elmore, and it was so much better/more informative than the actual draft. I just can't stand the name recognition philosophy of ESPN.

Re: Give TNT the draft back!
EddieJonesFan,
Jonathan Givony has constantly done podcasts over the years regarding the draft. And, he had his own special relating to the draft on NBA TV a year back. Why not put him in the ultimate spotlight?
As for the ESPN suggestion: I agree that they should put Chad Ford and a combination of Jay Williams and Len Elmore on the program. Jay Williams really knows the college players out there and has an idea of what it takes to make it to the next level. Would be very interesting commentary. I really don't mind Jay Bilas as much as some, but the rest have no idea what they are talking about. While I felt that he was awful this year, I had somewhat respected his opinion in year's past.

I have no problem with Givony being on the show, but the draft express guys aren't going to produce a tv broadcast. It would only be either espn or tnt.
Ford is an idiot, but i guess every panel needs its idiot.
I agree with what some said about Bilas, the dude is just too wimpy in his projections and criticism. It seems like according to him every draft pick is going to be a winner. What happened to the guy that said Ridnour couldn't guard the chair he was sitting in? I want that Bilas back.

After he said Josh Smith was the most surefire bust he had ever seen, he really stopped the criticism.

I wouldn't mind seeing Colin Cowheard on there either, or Tony Cornheiser.... Just get someone funny and someone smart - and please get rid of Stewart "Eyebrow" Scott.
