this kid looks really, really good. i'm not saying he has a similar skillset, but just the way he moves around the court reminds me of a young ray allen. he's so sleek and explosive with a pretty jump shot. he's got great elevation and a soft release. his floor game has come light yrs since i first saw him playing AAU ball. he's very smooth and moves with a purpose. b/t he and archie goodwin i'm not so sure who the better sg prospect is. i've wavered back and forth, but i really like how mclemore plays. he doesnt have the slashing ability that archie has and probably never will, but his shot is much better and he doesnt play out of control like goodwin. both have tremendous potential on both ends of the floor, but at this point ben is more refined, as he should be.

He's two years older than Goodwin, that pretty much sets the matchup

maybe for you, but you seem to have an affinity for UK players. i'd say it's a toss up but im leaning towards mclemore now. i've really impressed with his combination of athleticism and floor game. i think he's gonna be able to hit the ground running whereas goodwin will still have a lot to learn about the game after a yr of calipari's "coaching."

I like Ben more. Looks like a lottery pick. Just wrote about him and made two videos showing his plays in the Chattanooga game.

His 3pt shooting has been bad. Just a small number of games though.

he had one bad game where he went 0/7 from 3. that's a percentage killer game this early in the season.
remove that game and he's 9/22 or 41%.
i wouldnt be worried about his shot. he's got a great stroke. he's got very good elevation, balance and it's compact.

one thing that i noticed about his game tonight was that he isn't good at finishing from the left side. he needs to work on finishing with his left.

McLemore is a frecak level athlete. He has a good shot and uses his quick first step very well. The only area I see a problem in is ball-handling with him!
