I know it maybe sounds insane but, he has some Westbrook in him, I don't think he could play the point, but he's longer than Westbrook and at 6'5 and 6'10 wingspan he could play the SG at NBA, no problem, also he's improving his frame, he's at 200lbs now, probably could be in 215-225 in 1 or 2 years, keeping his speed.

I really like the prospect, unlike Waiters or Purvis, he had the elite body to make it, and he seems to be a strong minded young fella, working type.

I only watched the first Kentucky game, but to me he looked like a slightly less athletic Tyreke Evans.

Didn't seem like he did great off ball, and his defense looked terrible. That said, great at drawing fouls, real knack for it. Also seemed like a good passer, with solid IQ and adequate vision and most importantly, not a black hole type player. Honestly seemed to be best when playing like a point guard.

Goodwin early season highlights.

Huge game tonight, amazing, this guy is everywhere, electric!

He's going super high in this draft. Right age, type of prospect and school to be a top 5 pick for sure. Also not many guards in this draft. UK's looking good to have 3 of the top 10 picks. UK gonna UK

This guy looks like he has a significant amount of potential.

Goodwin: 22 pts 9 rebs 9 ast 2 stl 1 BLK tonight. Good guy too apparently.

Any chance he goes above Bazz in this draft?

I think there chances, if he keeps developing his game, even as a PG, he can be a Westbrook type of player, and in this draft thats top3 potential.

Question is how is his work-rate and attitude? cause if he's a guy who's willing to put in the work - he can really be a star.

Tyreke Evans comparison then follow it up with:
- defense looked terrible
- good passer
- solid IQ
- adequate vision
- not a black hole
- seemed best at PG

Sounds like the opposite of Tyreke.

Yes, I think he, Noel, and Poythrus (sp?) all go earlier. All 3 of them weren't very impressive against Maryland but have shown signs of greatness, and their improvement is going to be fun to watch. Goodwin's got ridiculous size for a talented PG. I'm guessing he ends up being about 6'6 215 - with the great length Fischella mentioned. He already appears to be a very efficient scorer. If he continues to improve his 3 point jump shot, the sky is the limit.

He needs to work on finishing with his left more - but he has a killer cross over both right and left, and although he mainly finishes with his right he isn't afraid to get left in the initial move. I like that alot.

With his first step and overall athletic ability that's huge for his NBA career - working on a pullup midrange game should be the next step.

Definitely has potential to be a top 5 SG if he works on a few key areas of his game.

This probably needs re-exploring, given that he's had another 6 weeks of NCAA time and has maintained a steady rate of production.

He seems to have fallen off the radar somewhat recently.

In what I've seen, parts of his game are reminiscent of Wade - his drives / dunks / circus shots / drawing contact; though clearly he lacks the court vision and playmaking skills. Comparisons could be drawn with DeRozan in terms of athleticism, though actually I think Goodwin projects much higher than that - he has much better handles and a reasonably well developed jumpshot.

I'd certainly not be hesitant to take him top 5, especially if I need a Shooting Guard. He could potentially be very, very good.

I think Wade and DeRozan are decent comps in that they are both athletic, slashing SGs. While Wade, is obviously the extreme high end of his potential, I agree that he's a better prospect than DeRozan was.

Last year the top SG prospect was Beal and I would have taken Goodwin over Beal. I think Goodwin/Muhammed/Young are probably the best 3 SG prospects since Harden.
