Re: Nerlens Noel, can he go #1 if Kentucky misses the tourna
People were saying on Twitter that Cal was explaining to Florida that his knee popped out. Not a good sign.

Now, its a question of how much he drops?
If he drops too low, a lucky team gets a chance to pick a franchise center with a mid lotto.
If he is picked too high, #1-3 pick with serious injury (ie not a turf toe) is always a giant risk.

Slow down, we don't even know the severity of the injury yet. Even if it is a torn ACL, he's still a top 5 pick. They'd have to find something really worrisome for him to drop much further.

Looks more like a patella than an ACL to me, his reaction was identical to when Oden went down with his patella. Don't remember the recent ACLs looking that painful, Rondo almost played the next game after his

Definatly looks like either a torn ACL or a dislocated patella and all of the tendons and muscles around it have been torn, either way I think he will be done for the season...

He is not going to get drafted. The guy just tore everything in one knee. This wasn't just an acl tear from that image. This will severely slow him down. From the video, it looked like he tore his mcl.

You guys are seriously jumping the gun. Wait till the medical report comes in.

Going by the image, you should actually assume it is a mcl tear.

Not perse the way the injury looks, but the sequence reminds me of Shaun Livingston's injury where his knee just buckled when his foot stayed put after a long jump.

Holy ****. Rumor on UK board is that it is a ruptured patella tendon. This actually goes in line with the massive amount of pain Noel suffered.
This **** is way more serious than ACL/MCL tear. Full tear has good chance of ending career.

Cards' RB Ryan Williams tore his patella tendon and was back playing the next season. Obviously everyone is different but more and more guys come back from serious knee injuries.

Now, a guy who could have come straight out of high school and gotten a rookie scale contract may not get zilch. Thanks Stern.

Well if there is ever a chance an NCAA ploayer sues the NBA over the one year rule I think now is the chance. It was only a matter time before a star prospect had a major injury in college.

On what basis can he sue?
Why do some of you think he's entitled to a rookie scale contract? If he gets injured he gets injured. At what point do we draw the line?
Sorry for sounding overly harsh. I feel sorry for Noel, I really hope he makes a full recovery. And yes, this is really unfortunate for him.

There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

People react differently to everything. I've some people cry after tearing their ACLs, and others finish out a game with one.
Can we just stop speculating and wait for the MRI to come out?
