One player that Vonleh reminds me of is David West, when West was in college. Vonleh seems to be more advanced at a younger age though, and is a better ballhandler. In the high post, Vonleh handles the ball like Jamaal Mashburn at Kentucky.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Yeah, Bosh is much longer.
You can't play Center in the NBA with a 8'10 reach, with a 9'1? yea you can, Vonleh is all neck.

He was also 17 when measured so it's very possible he grew.

I think you get the point by now. All jokes aside I don't necessarily disagree with everything you said but come on bro, you're better than that.

yeah i think a lot the Chris Bosh comparisons have been made strictly off of how they look as oppose to how they play. Games are nothing alike in my opinion.

It's true.

As are like 95% of the draft comparisons that are made.

completely different body types though

i was thinking more along the lines of a darrell arthur
everyone loved the body and the potential. still rough on the edges offensively when he declared but showed promising signs.

I don't see his offensive game nearly as good as bosh..vonleh gets most of his points off offensive rebounds..he seems like a solid player but nothing to me stands out about him or makes me think he's gonna be anything special in the nba...

Disagree. I thought it was obvious that Arthur was under-sized for an NBA PF. Vonleh has a significantly bigger frame. Arthur was overrated, just as teammates Chalmers and Rush were underrated.

Not sure what I think of him . To me he is the reason why players should stay in school. Good body but poor skills.

Good shooter for 7' 18 year old.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

eh
i disagree unless you have some super strict height requirement for PFs
my cut off is around 6'9" and he has the wingspan and athletic ability where nobody really questioned him
guys like millsap and leon powe stand well under 6'9" and i would consider them undersized. someone who would probably stand pretty close to kevin love isn't undersized in my book. darrell arthur isn't really a player where ppl questioned his height and size for his position.

noah vonleh definitely has a better frame than darrell arthur in that he is taller and much longer. he's definitely not as thick as horford though. his height really ranges anywhere between 6'9" and 6'9.75"

reference for other PFs

Brian Skinner... I ran across that name today and immediately thought of Noah Vonleh.

vonleh has a nice stroke and can put the ball on the deck. he also has good touch around the rim with jump hooks with either hand. skinner was just a defender and rebounder with no touch, shot or ball skills.
