i think there are some technical things that he could work on, like not relaxing his stance and improving off-ball awareness. he doesn't dog it, isn't a bad athlete, smart kid too. actually contests shots well. i think he can be passable and his ineptitude is oversold. coach k actually used him as a defensive specialist some games often times putting him on the opposing team's best perimeter scorer. i don't think he's a lost cause on that end.

As someone previously mentioned he is much better off the bounce than he gets credit for. He was basically playing the post for Duke. He can shoot it and he is very deceptive. He also will take it to the hoop and draw contact. He is not going to create anything for anyone else, but as a rotation player I think he is pretty solid. Could be a 15 PPG type in a few years. The better question is do you go with him or say a James Young.

hood's a good, willing passer too. saw on DX that he was the best among the SFs in this class at PnR play as well.

it's as tough call b/t hood and young. young's got the best size with his length and build among those wings around that late lotto range. he's also the youngest, but he has a ways to go to match hood's floor game.

Apparently he has some sort of anxiety issue that makes him sick before games. It kept him from finishing a workout for the Hornets recently, and apparently others. This definitely isn't good for his stock.

only heard of the charlotte workout that he couldnt finish. that happened a couple times at duke last yr. its like he gets a bad case of butterflies and has to puke. then he gets over it. i know he didnt start 1 game bc of it, but entered shortly after the game started then dropped a cool 18. another time it happened vs clemson coming out of halftime. he puked, proceeded to score 17 including the game winning FTs.

Wow. That doesn't sound good. What would he do before a playoff game?

Taller Jared Dudley with a better three-point shot.

Definitely can see some Luol Deng and prime Tayshaun Prince in him. Defense is probably not on their level but I think he has the tools to be an effective perimeter defender.

Three and D sounds about right. Will carve out a solid NBA career as a starter/potential borderline All-Star.

Would fit in perfectly with the Hawks.

He is a 6-8 arron afflalo. Will start his career as only a shooter the same way afflalo did then grow into a more well rounded offensive player later in his career.

Given his poor wingspan and how he hasn't been a good defender up to this point, he'd have to make real strides to be as good as Afflalo on defense. He's not an All-Defense guy, but he was certainly a fighter on that end when he wasn't forced to carry such a heavy scoring load.

He was a very poor defender at Duke.

Lionel Messi does the same thing, throws up before every soccer match.
