watching NBATV's mock draft?

Post#1 » by averagegymrat1 » Thu Jun 26, 2014 1:37 am

Anybody watching the mock on NBATV?

They have

Parker
Exum
Wiggins
Vonleh
Stauskas
Julius Randle

Why in the world would Stauskas go 5th to the Jazz? I understand it's a need if Hayward leaves, but 5th overall? Anyone else find this nearly impossible? Also I find the top 3 to be quite likely where as I don't think anyone else really does

I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.

watching NBATV's mock draft?

My Thoughts on it are

This would be Orlando's best possible haul if smart drops to 12 seems a bit low

Exum over wiggins baffled me

Stauskas at 5 is a major reach

Saric and McDerrmont both where a little too high

Can't see embiid falling that far

LaVine and Anderson will both go higher than 19th and 22nd

Shabazz's draft stock has shot up through a roof apparently

I watched it. It was fairly ridiculous. STAUSKAS at five?! SMART at 12?!

It was based entirely off one man's mock draft - David Aldridge. Would have made more sense for them to take turns picking a player for each team IMO.

These guys that get paid to talk about the draft rarely have the same level of passion as the posters on real gm. I saw a thing recently where Simmons and J Rose did a draft and Rose forgot to put A Gordon in at all, lol.

Having said that the real draft usually includes some similar level surprises.

Bill Simmons is on record saying there are no "game changers" in the draft.
not big time players.

I agree with that. Some good prospects and projects though.

So Parker Wiggings aren't game changers?

I don't think so. Parker will be a bust. WIggins will be decent but not a superstar, at least not if you don't consider Derozan a superstar.

I see where you're coming from. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out

they roundly called lavine a bust. i think one guy said he'll need 3yrs.

the draft is not deep in the lottery. it's deep for everyone else. i think the good teams got the most useful picks
