No way. Pau has much better size and has better touch around the rim imo. Better shooter I think too.

I think at best case he will be Gallinari

He's much taller than Gallinari and I view him as more of a big man at the NBA level.

Gallinari was listed at 6'9" coming up and 6'10" now. Saric is listed at 6'10" now.

This. Gallinari is actually pretty tall. I think he is a better athlete than Dario and better shooter for the time being. Hopefully Saric can either get stronger/quicker and learn to shoot consistently.

Maybe he gets to Hedo Turkoglu levels. I'm not a big fan of him, but I think that's his upside.

Galo is like 6'10, so I doubt that.

Gallinari is 6'11" with shoes on. Taller than Saric.

I think Saric is less athletic and a worse shooter and probably will always be. I think he's a better ball handler, much better passer, has a higher IQ and plays harder. I like the Turkoglu comparison, but with a brain. I think he's gonna be a hell of a player and I think the 76ers draft night can be legendary, if Embiid overcomes his injuries.

He likes to model his game after Toni Kukoc and Lamar Odom. I'd say they're pretty good comparisons from what I have seen and heard.

I like Biz' Turkoglu comparison, Turkey used to be pretty good which people seem to forget.

None of them are good comparisons, but Saric plays a lot more like Gasol than Gallinari or even Turkoglu. Especially if you're comparing them as 20 years old.

Gallinari is a perimeter player, Turk was a pick'n'roll specialist with good shooting. Saric is more versatile, he plays in the high/mid post a lot more than any of those guys.

Odom is still the best comparison. A mix between Lamar Odom and Tyler Hansbrough.

Another in the long line of great Yugoslavian ballers.

I didn't think he looked so impressive in highlights either. I didn't even think he was that impressive when I started watching actual games, but then I checked the box scores and saw he put up something ridiculous like 20-10-5 in each of them. Then I start watching really closely, and that's when I noticed all the little awesome things he does. Every play, the guy can do something different to help the team, a block here, a three there, a rebound, good straight up defense, always good passing, etc.

I have a feeling he'll surprise many when he comes to the NBA. He has decent range, good handles for his size, can pass, solid rebounder,.. And what I really like about him are his mental strengths. Winning mentality, for being only 20 he is quite clutch, a real hustler, fight till the end attitude, very motivated to improve his game, and a heart of a lion. He was the best player in the Adriatic league at age 19-20, and the league is not that bad at all.

He really needs to gain some muscle, add strength, keep working on his shot and just raising his game even more. I'd consider him an all-around type player and believe he has what it takes to make it in the NBA.

When I read things like "mix between Tyler Hansbrough..." and "Gasol better shooter I think too", I know how much some of you guys actually know about him. Zero.

Hey I wrote that! I'm very comfortable with my knowledge and assessment of Saric. Otherwise I wouldn't have written so many posts about him.

Your comment is so silly it becomes amusing. A mix of Odom and Hansbrough is an excellent comparison for Saric. I've been saying that Laker's Odom is the best comparison among contemporary players - far better than those heavily perimeter oriented players- but not quite perfect (as Saric doesn't have Odom's length and athelticism while being on a different planet in terms of intensity, motor and mentality), but once one adds Hansbrough to the mix it becomes just perfect. Funnily enough, considering what you wrote in the first paragraph, you actually seem to agree, but I guess you were too busy being juvenile to notice it.

As if being compared to Hansbrough is some insult. The dude was putting up 23/10 in the ACC and leading his team to a national title at Saric's age. Sure he hasn't exactly lit the NBA on fire, but he's carved out a nice little 6-year career and could end up playing for over a decade professionally by the time it's all said and done.

Hansbrough pu 23-10 and led to ACC title while Dario put 25-13-5-2 and led to ABA title.
