Horrible list, IMO. Exum and Gordon are years away from doing any kind of damage.

I just kind of threw out Gordon as a random pick but why not exum
I can see him putting up mcw averages on a team that will do better and get more wins than the 76ers so if not for jabari than he'd probably win
I think wiggins and LaVine will cancel each other in terms of impact and playing time
If embiid was playing this year is put him number one

Re: Way too early ROY picks
I'm not a huge fan of his long term potential, but I think Randle should be on a short list. ROY is really about total PPG average and either rebounds or assists. Randle should get minutes and collect stats even if the Lakers aren't winning. They also will be bad defensively so should figure to have high point total games, even without D'Antoni.
I'd say Wiggins, Randle, Parker.

Re: Way too early ROY picks
Parker is the clear-cut favorite. Points usually wins this award, and he is the best scorer in the best scoring opportunity.
Noel is another name I kind of like in this discussion. He will have a full head of steam heading into this summer with something to prove. If hes got a little extra range on his jumpshot, then I could see Philly just feeding him the ball like crazy. Besides MCW, who are they going to look to? Since ROY is largely about opportunity and role, Noel should be considered a contender for it.
For the same reason as Noel, I've kind of had Payton as a sleeper pick for a while (before any summer league). There just aren't many PG's on that roster now that Afflalo has been traded and Oladipo shifted to SG. With Payton's ability to rack up rebounds, he could make a strong statistical argument and have a large number of minutes under his belt when ROY is announced.
Wiggins helped his opportunity by going to Minnesota, but he is going to be asked to focus on defense. Martin, Young and Pekovic are going to get most of the offense on that team, although I fully expect some highlight ally-oop dunks from Rubio to Wiggins.
Dante Exum is a guy to be watching, but he is going to have to come out of the gate strong enough to unseat Burke and I just don't see it happening. Exum could finish the season strong, but Burke is going to get a lot of time with the ball in his hand before that happens.
McDermott is an interesting choice, but I don't think he will get the role in Chicago that he needs. Chicago is going to be making a push to win the East as long as Rose is healthy, so they will mostly play the veterans, leaving Doug to come in for spot minutes when they need an offensive boost.
One guy who hasn't been mentioned at all is TJ Warren. He wasn't picked very early and that Suns team has a lot of parts right now, however he is an interesting scorer at the SF position, and with a high tempo offense with 2 PG's, there could be a lot of easy looks for him. Not saying he has any chance of winning ROY, but I will be watching for an unexpectedly strong rookie season if the Suns find a reliable scorer.

1. Jabari Parker- I think he's going to put up a lot of stats for a very bad Bucks team
2. Julius Randle- If he's healthy, I think he's going to surprise people and have a very good year but doesn't have many "wow" plays
3. Andrew Wiggins- Less pressure in Minnesota, should have a good year there.
My "sleeper" pick- Nerlens Noel- A lot depends on how they limit his minutes next year. I think he's going to a good year scoring 8-10 points a night while being a very good defender for a awful team.

Re: Way too early ROY picks
Parker's the obvious pick but i'm going to go with Randle. If the Lakers let him play he's going to put up some numbers.

Re: Way too early ROY picks
Bari should be the guy due to readiness and being a/the focal point of the Bucks.
Noel with Philly's up and down pace he should get a decent output from trans buckets, defensively it could go either way with blocks opportunites being ushered his way this year and his tendency to hunt for them. We might see high block numbers or we might see foul trouble.
Wiggs also has a chance obviously with the situation he's in as well.
shouldn't really be close after that but i called Elf my sleeper depending on what team he got drafted to months ago so im keeping that one as well (he'd have a better shot with some extra shooters around him)
if Buckets can convince Thibs to play him he should land fairly high as well.

This would be my top 3 as well.
I would love to pick Noel but PPG always seems to be the most important stat for a ROY so I agree with Parker. Wiggins has a better shot of winning in Minny then he did in Cleveland but I still think his skill set is far to raw to put up big numbers.
