Are there any point guards who could jump into the lottery?

Post#1 » by NL41 » Tue Sep 30, 2014 9:48 pm

Last year, Elfrid Payton wasn't considered a pre-season top 10 pick, and Tyler Ennis wasn't considered a top 20 pick. But Andrew Harrison was considered a lotto pick.

So who could jump into the lottery that is being slept on right now?

PG is the deepest position in the league and it seems like every draft produces at least a few quality starting pgs.

Right now there are only 2 point guards in nbadraft.net's mock draft. And most of the other PGs listed are seniors and late first or second round picks.

I suppose Andrew Harrison could rejuvenate his draft stock, but I guess it's just a very off year for point guard depth.

Maybe some international kid(s) will emerge and jump into the discussion.
Do you know of any?

I'd imagine there will be 1 or 2 late risers like there always seem to be every year like Payton this year, but at this point I only see Jones and Mudiay as the only lottery PGs.

DX has this guy ranked right behind Herzonja, Porzingis, and Diop for his age, but DX has him at 41 in their mock.

Guess I'll be checking out Fenerbahce this year

Kenan Sipahi - Turkey and Fenerbahce
Just 18 and already with a European club campaign behind him, Sipahi arrived in Latvia for his third and final U18 European Championship with the desire to add to the bronze medal he had won back in Poland in 2011. With assassin-like stealth, Sipahi retained a modest stat line whilst coming up with the big plays every time it was required to lead Turkey to gold and earn the tournament MVP honour along the way. The guard narrowly missed out on a EuroBasket spot but has since established himself as starting guard for European powerhouse, Fenerbahce.

Not really lottery but I'm interested to see what Marcus Paige and Nigel Williams-Goss do this year.

Kid is so crafty and is a scoring machine. I love his game.
