Anybody else have views on the PG class? One theory was Mudiay and then everybody else. Are there other guys you think definitely come out and are strong prospects?

as of right now it is pretty much Mudiay then everybody else and will stay that way until we see the season unfold and guys show what they bring to the table.

I think Tyus Jones is a very good prospect but we have to see how coach K uses and how much of his game he's able to showcase.

Delon Wright was everybody's darling last year here on the boards so we need to see if he's the same guy or if there has been some growth along with how the comp adjust to him this year.

not big on Marcus Paige.

Yogi Ferrell's size could be an issue.

im intrigued to see how Rysheed Jordan looks this year

and obviously there could be some kid that comes out of nowhere to be a high profile prospect that we just don't know about. so until the season starts to form there's not much more we can say other than Mudiay has the makeup of the new age PG with his size, speed, athleticism, and fairly high IQ. no other prospect really has that combo at that position so he's head and shoulders above all until someone shows us otherwise.

Should get a far better read on Kasey Hill of Florida this year. It's his team to run, he could sneak into top 10. We shall see though definitely needs to improve the shot. But he will get the chance this year to prove his worth.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

Mudiay and then everyone else isnt really a theory, thats just reality. He has a chance to go 1-1 while there may not be another point guard taken in the lottery. Returning point guards I liked last year are Rozier, Williams Goss, and Wright. None of which are more than back end 1st rounders to me. As far as incoming point guards, I have soured on Tyus Jones, no longer see him as a top pick. May not even be lottery. Kaleb Joseph is someone who ii intriguing to me. Looking forward to seeing him play for Syracuse this year.

Really only two PG in the lotto right now. Wrong year trying to grab a PG. So many SF/PF, even a few legit 7 footer C in the draft.

Emmanuel Mudiay - John Wall meets Steve Francis
Tyus Jones - Millionare's Tyler Ennis

what made you sour on Tyus?

i dont wanna speak for him, but just from a little back and forth seems like he's swayed a lot by athleticism.

Marcus Paige will end up the best PG in this draft and is a lock to go lottery if he comes out. Mudiay is a 2.. not a Point imo. Reminds me a bit of young Kobe.

Athleticism and size, yes. He is lacking in both areas in my opinion. I like his game, needs to improve his shot but I cant overlook his short comings which are quite large to me.

I think Tyus Jones will end up being better than we expect. Guys with his type of focus and professionalism at a young end tend to have successful careers.

i see mike conley when i watch tyus. very similar dimensions after the latest measurements. sneaky quickness too. just because he doesnt play full throttle all the time doesnt mean he lacks quickness. he has plenty quickness, but more importantly, he changes gears on a dime and knows how to play in that in b/t speed necessary for PnR play and half court game in general. he's already a PnR wiz and he'll only get better in that aspect.

I think the only question with tyus is if he's one and done or takes an extra year to run the show as the man at Duke. either way I think he's gonna be very good in the pros.

If tyus is so good why isnt he projected to go higher in the draft? I mean irving wasnt known for being a great athlete either but he still went no.1.

because he doesn't have the physicals that some of the other players have. same reason why CP3 went behind a Deron and Marvin Williams. Not really a argument of who the best player is out of that group though.
