Unfortunately, his defense is also Kukoc-like....has high center of gravity which, doesn`t have much strenght, poor vertical leap from stationary position, poor defensive awareness, doesn`t box-out, doesn`t rotate on time....Needs to put a lot of work to become the player he can be. Basketball is played on both ends, Bender only plays one at the moment.

uh no. bender is a good defender. he struggles in areas involving strength but he is very agile and intelligent. not sure what you're watching.

One of the worst vertical jump results at Eurocamp last year.

That's why I don't like these sort of measurements. I just don't see the point in measuring player's athletic abilities when we can see with our own eyes how athletic and fast they are on the basketball field. I don't need some numbers to tell me that Dwight Howard is a monster athlete, I can see that. It only kinda makes sense in my opinion for unknown players who no one knows.

I mean if we went by the combine measurements Kevin Love and Cody Zeller would be more athletic than Dwight Howard.

I don't know, maybe it is because I am european and we don't have that **** over here but I just don't get it.

Anyway, from what I have seen Dragan Bender looks pretty athletic for a 7 footer. I don't care what the numbers say.

Don't think he's a 3 at all, tbh.

He can end up more as a Center than as SF, when he is in his 30s

Bender is pretty damn tall, I don't get how he is a 3. He seems like a power forward to me, a long one at that. He'll probably be 7 foot when he is done growing.

Should be exciting to see him playing with Maccabi's senior side next year.

His feel for the game is exquisite.

I totally agree with your first sentence. Even though he strugled in first two games against stronger teams and finish with low fg %.
It should be mentioned that in Israel he doesn't play for the youth team, and I even don't think he practiced with them much, if at all, Being on a load to a different club (Ramat-Gan) and plaing in the Israeli 2nd Div.

Ramat-Gan postponed a game just so they can have bender with them after he returns from this event. It was smart of them, becasue just as he got back, they played and won 96-95 while Bender was their main scorer woth 25 pts and 12 reb.

He Usually plays as a face-up PF, but I guess he can be sort of a point SF (not scoring-slashing SF) alongside two bigs.

He'll never live up to the legend of his brother, Jonathan.

You kid, but he does have a 6'9 older brother named Ivan who recently enrolled at the University of Maryland and is newly eligible to play there.

Dragan Bender was awesome in the night cap. Great feel. So fluid. Guarding perimeter players. Nice shooting stroke. Big time prospect.

Dragan Bender is out here running fast breaks and defending point guards, and people are just laughing in amazement. He's 7'1"

Masai Ujiri must be drooling over Dragan Bender. Totally his type.
