Three freshmen from major teams who have blown away early expectations, that's for sure...

McCullough has looked really good early. His mid range game is great but I do worry how he'll do when he faces bigger bodies. He's very skinny and seems to struggle when played physical.

all 3 of these guys are physically under-developed in a major way.
i think it's less of an issue for russell since i think he could easily be taken as a PG. his vision is very good for any type of guard. it's hard to evaluate him defensively because matta is back to playing pretty much full time zone with this yr's team as well as 3/4 pressure. he'd probably have to develop a flopping game to be more effective around the cup but otherwise has the tools to be good in the other 2 levels in the halfcourt, while also being a fantastic PnR playmaker.

looney's got a nose for the ball, great hands and very good length, but will he be able to reach over defenders and tap the ball to himself in the NBA like he's doing at the college level? he doesn't look like a SF to me. not only are the perimeter skills not there to be one, but he looks slow for that position. i wonder how more bulk will actually effect his average athleticism.

Like what I've seen so far of Russell. His skill set would be a good fit next to Marcus Smart IMO.

Give me Russell way before any of the other, McCullough is a low IQ guy with a streaky stroke and non the strength or fluidity to defend any position, Looney is just a rebounder right now, long arms and big, but slow and non explosive, I dont really see whats the big deal or the top10 hype with him.
