It is on espn2 for me.
I made sure to say 'Bear Down Arizona!' at the end of our broadcast. That was for Wildcat Nation. -NBC Anchor Brian Williams

Re: 2015 Nike Hoop Summit
Trier looked good Arizona could have used his shot making this year
They said Brown was battling injury so I'm not gonna go to crazy but he looked like Stanley Johnson in that he's extremely hard to stop in transition half court not so much
Kennard looks like he's gonna be a hell of a 3 or 4 year college player at Duke may be similliar to Scheyer

Yeah, Skal is my guy. Quick leaper, fluid and has great touch.
Jaylen hasn't shown me anything in the 2 recent games. He bricked 7 FTs at the McDAA & had 1 highlight dunk in this one, but didn't show any real skills. His athleticism and frame seem cool, so theres still things to like.
Ben is behind Skal, but not by a big a gap. The things he does at his size are pretty unique. Its just his length and funky shooting mechanics make him take a early backseat to Skal.

fair enough, been enamored with Ben for a while now so I gotta ride with my guy but Skal's combo of size and skill is pretty nice. Im sure once the season starts the separation will begin.
I have a feeling this year's argument is gonna be
Jaylen's physical gifts and upside vs Ben's all around skillset and IQ vs Skal's size and potential. I want Rabb in there but we'll see how that goes down. he might end up being the odd man outside of the top three.

Re: 2015 Nike Hoop Summit
I love watching Ben play I think passing is a lost art and he does it so well..some of those outlet passes my god..
Only negative I see is he's not a great half court scorer and in a grind it out half court games he's not a good shooter either but he does everything else..I've heard some people critique his athletic ability which I don't get he looks like a pretty good athlete to me..He's not Blake Griffin but he's not Kyle Wiltjer either he's fine..
I think he'll be kinda similliar to Winslow in that there will be a lot of games he doesn't shoot well and score many points but does whatever is needed to help his team

They mentioned Jaylens been banged up and playing a lot lately plus exhibition games are so disjointed you can't fully judge players but yeah he seemed a little like Stanley Johnson a bull in transition but not great in the half court still a very raw offensive game

Re: 2015 Nike Hoop Summit
yeah Ben's jumper needs some serious work. It looks aimed right now. not fluid, he's gotta be wide open to let one go. Teams are gonna sag off and force him to shoot so he needs to get in the gym and work on that.

he has a tendency to force a lot in the half court and if his jumper isn't working then there's not much else he's gonna do. Needs to learn to move without the ball better. We'll see where he signs to play college ball but I'd assume he's gonna go somewhere where the ball is gonna be in his hands because when its not he's not doing much.

Skal looks great. But having said that, as much as Ben lacks length, his WS is only half an inch less than Skal's. Ben was measured at 6'11" and 3/4. May as well be 7'0". Skal was measured at 7'0" 1/5.
Nobody is really making an issue about Skal's WS but everyone seems to be getting on Ben about his.
Ben will most likely be playing against small forwards where his length shouldn't be a major issue. Ben also has massive hands and blocks his fair share of shots as it is. Skal will probably be playing against centers. He's a pretty special athlete though so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. (*Just looking at both of them, visually they don't seem to have such small arms)
Also I wouldn't get down on Jaylen Brown. It's one game. He's a fierce competitor. I think both he and Ben have been pretty tired. I think the first tier of this draft will be exceptional

It'll be tough with a 8'7" standing reach.

Simmons could probably play the 3.. He's got great speed and power for a 240 lber, ball handling skills, just needs to work on that jumper

Re: 2015 Nike Hoop Summit
You can't get carried away in these all-star games. A week of practices with guys you've never played with before is hard to see all the skills. I basically look at it like this. A guy like Jeff Green was picked #5 in the draft and somehow starts at the 3 in the NBA. Ben Simmons can definitely play the 3.

I seriously might have misinterpreted your point, but I don't necessarily follow the logic here. Jeff Green is a better athlete and he is smaller than Ben Simmons - he is built more like an SF. Jeff Green was more of a failure when they tried making him a stretch PF. Green should have been trained as an SF from the start, but I'm sure him playing alongside Kevin Durant and being coached by Scott Brooks nixed that.
Simmons shooting ability I think is a major concern. He really has an awful jumper...like he takes jump shots like elementary school players.
