Absolutely NOT a center, guys. Neither is Gobert. They're both clearly small forwards.

Why do you post in this topic if you have never seen this guy? Of all the things to point out as a weakness you choose length.

you assume that I have never seen him, why would you assume that? because you believe that no one that has ever seen him could possibly question his length? There have been dozens of 6'10 and taller players that do not have good length (standing reach) for their height, KP looks like one of them, but the facts have yet to prove anyone correct on this matter. Why are there no facts available for his measured length? This seems like a major oversight.

Lol at this guy with length Porzingis is one of the more lengthier players in last few drafts.

How is he when it comes to protecting the rim? Him getting beat up in the post isn't that big of a deal, but will he be able to help his teammates when opponents are slashing into the paint?

In terms of raw block numbers, not close to Rudy Gobert, somewhere between Brook Lopez and Nikola Vucevic.

I really hope wherever he ends up, Lowry gets traded to him. They seem to really get on and would be a nice little pairing.

I don't understand comments like this. The last time he played against kids his own age, at the Euro U18, he set the tournament record, blocking 5 shots per game. As a point of reference, Jonas V blocked 2.5 shots per game his last U18 tournament.

In terms of Gobert, when he was 19, he blocked 1.3 shot per game in the French league. By contrast, Porzingis blocked about 1.1 shots per game, although playing more minutes than Gobert did. However, the ACB is a significantly more difficult league, considered the second best in the world, than the French league, which Gobert played. Furthermore, Porzingis' block numbers were 6th in the ACB this year, not bad for a 19 year old.

Still think he's a 4 though, not a 5.

7'6 wingspan? Funny how a poster in this thread called him out because of his length, saying that he probably has a short wingspan. :D I told you, it was the angle from which the video has been recorded. The guy is a great athlete with elite size.

So, how many of you will repent after draft night with this 'KP at number 3' bs?

I definitely think he's being overhyped. There is definitely an argument for Porzingis, and he is a great shooter, but no one seems to be talking about his problems defensively. Instead people just cite his size as a reason why he has great upside. The workout may have confirmed that he can shoot, and that's great, but I still think there are a lot of valid concerns about him.

Didn't expect Porzingis to be THIS tall. Guess he really is close to 7'3' in shoes.
