Zach Lavine vs. 2017 SG Prospects

Post#1 » by AllHype3 » Sat Sep 10, 2016 9:10 pm

Where would Zach fall compared to the prospects of the 2017 Draft. SG's Only. Would he be a top 10 selection, top 15, top 20? Is he worth trading a mid lottery pick for him plus probably a rotational player?

after what he did to Moses Moody's name, I got DJ K. Perk in a Verzuz battle against ANYBODY

There is a similar prospect to what Lavine was coming out of high school and that is Malik Monk. Monk is a freak of freak athlete and has some real potnetial with his 3 point shot. Both with question marks on what position they will play between the 1 and 2. Lavine does have a couple inches on him but Monk is the better overall scorer. Most people have Monk going late lottery to late teens. I think Lavine would be mocked roughly the same when he was coming out of high school

I meant present day Lavine comparison. They tried him at PG but didn't work out to we'll. He is excelling at SG, so I was wondering if he would be a more valuable pickup than anybody available in the draft at SG.

All depends on who you consider a SG. Fultz has the size and some people think he maybe a more ball dominant type 2 guard like a Harden. Same goes for Frank Jackson and some people think Josh Jackson can make it at either the 2 or 3. If you consider Fultz and Jackson a SG im definitely taking those two over him. I have to see how the season goes but I might take Frank Jackson over him. Id take Lavine over Monk because of the size difference. But I guess the best pure SG in this class is Terrance Ferguson, Im pretty high on him, but he can easily become Terrance Ross 2.0 (I was really high on Ross as well). Id take Lavine over Ferguson probably
