Best Shooter Coming Out?

Who is the best pure shooter in this draft? And if the answer is some dude in the late 1st area who is basically a shooting specialist, then who among the elite prospects is the best shooter? Turner? Warren? George?

If you want an answer that is a top lotto prospect, I'd have to say Evan Turner probably followed by Greg Monroe(yes, a big man - Chris Webber style minus the athleticism).

evan turner's not a better shooter than willie warren.
greg monroe was like a 70% shooter from the line, and he's supposed to be a pure shooter?
besides, a pure shooter in my book has to at least have 3 pt range. monroe does not.

also, webber wasnt that great of an athlete so that's not saying much about monroe's.

Buford has to be up there. IDK about Warren, he's a streak shooter.
Scotty Hopson might be one of the better one's if he declares.

what? he had mobility, fluidity and great ball skills for a big but he was not a great run and jump athlete.
this is coming from one of the biggest fab 5 fans (i almost named my first born jalen).
monroe's not a great run and jump athlete either (nor is he a pure shooter).

meh. great form, but not that great of a shooter.

dunno if he would be considered an elite prospect, but gordon hayward is a helluva shooter.

Paul George is definitely one of the best shooters of the 1st round prospects.

good standstill shooter from range, thats about it. limited mid-range game and is a below average FT shooter for his position.

So basically what I'm hearing is that there's no serious deep threat among the top prospects? Warren seems like only a "good" shooter from deep and the rest of the guys seem like "might be" type of guys. What about Ebanks? I've heard his length/shooting combo compared to Durant. Is there any truth to that?

there are deep threats in this class, but very few would be considered "pure shooters."
i should also clarify that i define a pure shooter as someone who can shoot from all over the court with effectiveness. they also have to have versatility in terms of having the ability to get off an accurate shot in different situations (ie catch n shoot, 3 pt range, spotting up, mid-range, coming off screens, even FT shooting. the ability to create one's own shot isnt that important in this discussion, since that is more of a scorer's trait, but it is a plus.)

for example, paul george is a serious deep threat. he's got easy 3 pt range, but he's not as effective inside the 3 pt line and he's more of a standstill shooter who cant shoot off screens or on the move. he's also a below avg FT shooter. if he improves in his FT shooting and mid-range game i would probably consider him a "pure shooter."

as for ebanks, i think he's more rudy gay than durant. he has all the tools to become a very good player, including a nice looking stroke, but like scotty hopson, its more form than substance. ebanks also shot 13% from the college 3 last yr, so yeah, his shooting is still a work in progress.

Gordon Hayward (would get my vote), James Anderson, Sherron Collins, Paul George

some potential specialists:

Luke Babbitt
Matt Bouldin
Jon Diebler
Jerome Randle
Ryan Thompson

Xavier Henry is a good shooter, and his hot start to the season makes it look more likely that he'll be a one-and-done, and possibly a lottery pick.

Solid mid-range pull-up, but lacks range. Supposedly he's worked on this part of his game over the summer so we'll have to see how it looks as the season moves on.

Then why do you compare him with Anthony Parker when he has a better all-around game but lacks the range?
