Re: 2010 Mock Lottery
a little high for cousins, but VERY high for lance imo....plus hes more of a 2-guard who dominates the ball, and i dont think that would mesh very well with rose.

Wolves will take Turner or Henry before Johnson.

Re: 2010 Mock Lottery
I'm glad you think Memphis will do well with the lotto draw. As it sits now they are around the lower end of the lottery and finally playing as a team with their young guys beginning to figure it out. My guess is that they won't be in a position to get Turner although he would be a stellar addition.
I think if Farouq-Aminu drops to them that's the player they take without hesitation and he would be as good as they could do. Realistically, if they keep going the rest of the season as they are now, more likely they'll be looking at a Devin Ebanks or Willie Warren at the #9-12 draft position. They don't need anymore big men, or at least can get one like Charles Garcia with one of their lower first round picks. There isn't the pointguard depth like last year's draft. So I think they'll either look at insurance for the possibility of them not being able to match for Rudy Gay. Or depth in the backcourt with a combo guard such as Warren. They might even trade down.

If the season were to end now, the Grizz have no chance at the #5 pick. Only 1-3 and then whatever pick they would have based on their record. Unless you're saying the Grizz tank the rest of the season, this isn't possible.

Cousins, Stephenson, and George are to high for now. Cousins could definitely in there by the end of the year but more towards the twelve to fourteen range. I can't see Paul George moving higher than sixteen at this point, and Lance should stay another year, and probably will.

Re: 2010 Mock Lottery
Right now there is no way the Timberwolves take anyone else than Derrick Favors with the 2nd pick of the 2010 nba draft even though they are stacked at PF.
They are still able to trade down then but as their is a drop in talent after Favors we got to go BPA then.

Pistons don't want Aldrich. We'd take Ed Davis or DeMarcus Cousins over Cole.

God I hope we don't take Wes Johnson at #2. Evan Turner, easily.

And they would, and should, take Favors before either. Whether to keep him or trade him for a wing immediately, he's still the BPA at 2 as of now.
Edit:

I'm still not convinced that if we got him, we shouldn't keep him and trade either Love or Al (my choice). With his length, athleticism, quickness, and instincts, he'd be a huge upgrade on the defensive end. On top of that, he seems like he'd be a very good fit with Rubio (or Flynn) in a running offense.

Re: 2010 Mock Lottery
meh...
turner imo is just as good if not better than favors. Assuming he checks out medically. One of my favorite and most productive players i've seen in the past 5 years watching college hoops.
Favors is solid, but he needs some work on his shot outside of 5 feet, he hasn't really busted out. Don't get me wrong I love favors, but I think Turner is on his level, in my opinion he's better actually. 6"7 SG/SF rebounds the PISS out of the ball, even more than Favors does, can pass like a guard, scores the basketball, steals, blocks....
He's the whole package. Again this is assuming he's healthy, i'd have no issue taking him #2.
My board for wolves

turner
favors
Johnson
Aldrich
Henry
