Yeah. Oden, McMillan, Camby, Roy, Wallace, all gone within the past four months. That's a big change. And they really didn't get much coming back. I'm surprised they hung onto Felton, considering how awful he's played for them.

I'm hoping Charlotte release Diaw. And then Cleveland release Fisher.

And then I hope they both come here.

Fisher's played bad this year, showing his age more than ever... but, he's still a crafty veteran who is a threat to make open shots... will make the good pass and while a more limited defender, is still smart there

People would make jokes and everything because he's old, but as a back-up PG? That'd be a pretty nice pick-up

Supposedly Denver will release Turiaf in signing Chandler... I'd actually rather have Turiaf than Diaw because of his presence on defense and his energy. But Diaw as long as he doesn't play like he did with Phoenix past his 1st year with them (mostly soft) and more like most of his tenure with Charlotte, should be better around the players on this team, though. He's put up a lot of good lines I've seen from most of his time there.

It's too bad Spurs can't get Turiaf, Diaw, and Fisher.

Parker/Fisher
Ginobili/Neal/Green
Jackson/Leonard
Diaw/Bonner
Duncan/Splitter/Turiaf

Not bad...

Greg Oden waived. Should we gamble and pick him up? If not this year, than in the offseason?

If we can tack together his legs somehow, he might be a steal. . .Ilgauskis was injured all the time to start his career, then had a long career of health since. Though, Oden's more physical and athletically reliant than Ilgauskis ever was, so maybe that's just a pipe dream.

Brandon Roy's another guy who's considering coming out of retirement. Couldn't be that much of a gamble considering Manu's 36 and always hurt anyway.

We're over the tax and I don't think the Spurs pick him up and absorb the tax. It's just not worth it. As a FA acqusition, sure. But there's really no point in doing that at this moment.

I was thinking the same thing. He is a player built of toughness. When he entered the league he was strictly a SF but now he could be moved to the 4 in a small-ball lineup. And it helps that he has a good jumpshot. And most importantly, he is good friends with Manu.

Obviously we will have to sign at least one player to get to the mandated minimum of 13 after doing a 2-for-1 trade. Currently our 13th guy is D-Leaguer Eric Dawson who is on a 10-day contract. By the way, he looked good during his 1st 10-day but I'm not sure it's enough to get him a contract for the rest of the season. Nocioni, on the other hand, is a proven player and could provide good minutes, especially for a veteran coach who preaches execution, solid defensive rotations and who values a player who is good in the locker-room.

I'd love it if we got Nocioni on this team... he's not what he was his first 3-4 years... but he's still a versatile role-player that's cagey and tough... Philly just wasn't a good situation for him, just not having minutes or the players to complement him... plus there's the Argentenian/european connection with guys already here... it'd be a good depth addition for sure... but I'm not begging for it to happen or anything

Guy we could use the most is Turiaf, though... imagine him and S-Jax on the floor at the same time? Incredibly fun.

Wouldn't mind picking up Nocioni but i'd prefer Turiaf.

I wish we'd of gone for Gerald Wallace personally, especially after Portland practically gave him away. I've always liked his game.

I'm kind of intrigued by the idea of signing Oden. I know it probably won't happen, but if he sorted out his injury issues in a similar way to Big Z he could end up being quite a useful player. I hope whoever does pick him him up Oden manages to become a servicable player.

I'think any of Diaw, Noc or Turiaf would be good pick ups on the cheap. Biaw and Noc give us alot of versatility and Turiaf would give us some real toughness down low.

I wouldn't gamble on Oden. For one, I thought Portland re-signing him this past pre-season was wishful thinking and the outcome proved I was right. If anyone can revive his career, it might be the Phoenix Suns doctors, so for the sake of his career I say he should sign with Phoenix if there is any hope for him.

Turiaf would be a nice addition, always seemed the type who can help a potential contender a lot more than a bottom-dweller. I am not sure how he recovered from his broken arm earlier in the season but I wouldn't object signing him.
