Gasol to the Bulls for 6.5 per apparently. Not really surprised that he didn't sign here but the number he signed for is a little shocking.

Re: Around the NBA: Offseason Edition
I think the case could be made that with the breakup of the Big 3 in Miami and the fact that no Western contender improved themselves that the NBA is actually weaker now than it was last season. Certainly the East is even weaker than before, which I didn't think was possible.

I know he's only played one summer league game but Exum looks like the real deal.

Utah is putting together a real exciting roster. I'll be keeping an eye on them.

Agreed and I really like how balanced their roster is too.

Eh, I don't know. I think Favors and Kanter have underwhelmed. They were supposed to do great things with Jefferson and Millsap gone, and they haven't so far. They're both still young, so there's plenty of room for improvement I guess.
But that core of Burke, Hayward and now Exum is intriguing.

I like Hood and Gobert too. Neither guys going to be a star or anything but both could be high end role players, Hood as a 3 and D type and Gobert as a defensive presence off the bench.

Lance to Hornets for 3yrs $27.5M.
The Eastern Conference is getting stranger by the day.

Re: Around the NBA: Offseason Edition
The Hornets really do have a decent team. It's really anyone's chance to come out of the East (not a strong conference like the West but more a bunch of ok teams battling each other). To me the Cavs aren't even a lock for the Conference Finals.
Out West, 9 or 10 teams could make it all the way.
As I said a couple months back, the league needs to change the playoffs to top 16 teams. To many good teams out West are missing out (on profit as well...) because mediocre teams and often losing records are making it through in the East.

With a healthy Rose I think the Bulls come out of the East.
But that conference is messed up. I think 45 wins might clinch a 1 seed.

Re: Around the NBA: Offseason Edition
I think the worst place to be right now is Indy in the East. Damn! That team had one goal and motivation that was to overcome Miami and they failed totally. There is nothing left for that roster. If they did win the East now its only because Miami dismantled.
I agree on Chicago winning the East, with Atlanta being a dark horse. If Stan Van Gundy is as good of coach as I think he is he might get Detroit to win 50+ in that conference.

Re: Around the NBA: Offseason Edition
Yeah the Hawks might have a shot. The East is wide open. So wide open that it might be more interesting than it's been since 2010. Every year since The Decision 1.0 it was a foregone conclusion that Miami would rep the East in the Finals. Now at least there's some intrigue.
Don't know about Detroit. That roster is a mess. I believe in SVG but he hasn't got much to work with.
I actually think the Hornets will be a tough out.

Wow if a disgraceful (no that is not exaggerating) playoff series wasn't bad enough for James Harden, he just called his teammates role players.
Seems him and Howard are bitter about Parson's leaving and refuse to be mature about it.

Couldn't agree more. Him and Duhwight are the two dumbest superstars in the league. They're not winning a thing with those two as the "cornerstones".

LeBron picks #23. Yay.
Mo Williams to Minny. I thought he had a good thing in Portland.
