One less inside supporter of Bargnani. That will make him easier to trade.

I was really excited when Gherardini came on board but he really didn't do much.....at least that was obvious to the fan base.

Ujiri seemed to do a lot more in a much shorter time period

You're definitely right on that. Uriji came in a quarter of the time and became a well established GM. That trade with the knicks was a testament to how he honed his GM skills under Bryan.

About Gheradini. Well he really sucked at finding those international gems that we clamored about before. You guys are right, he was supposed to help recruit solid foraying talent and find oversea diamond-in-the-rough type of players. Letting him go seems like Bargnani isn't welcomed as much anymore either.

How about pick up Rich Cho now that he's available? Hopefully his experiences with OKC Thunder would help BC make better decisions.

Gherardini could've helped us recruit David Blatt to coach this team. But, I suppose we could pursue him regardless.

What I care about out of this news is:
This represents the first step to trading Bargnani.
This will also mean no more garbage European players coming over in droves like; King Solomon, And Slokar and Primo, which is a welcomed news.
These two come together and I think MG. has been covering for AB many many times than we know.

I have nothing against him and I thank him for his service and wish him the best of luck wehere ever he goes.

Does Kelly have a lifetime contract or something? When does his deal expire?

If we truly are looking for a replacement I'd bring over a guy like David Blatt. A guy that understands the North American style of play and has also coached at the international level. To me, he'd have the type of eye we're looking for. He understands European talent and what the NBA needs as well.

It would also be a great way to introduce him to the NBA and we'd have a coach on the flanks if needed.

Word is that Tanenbaum protects him. Another reason why I think that Larry T isnt our saviour.

Wow 5 years really flew by when no one really sees you do or get credit for anything. I think he was brought in initially cuz he attached himself to Andrea and BC was really sold on Andrea's potential. Maurizhio probably became the official contact for anyone looking to draft/sign Andrea. That''s probably how he weasled his way into this organization only to end up sitting back doing who knows what

This can only mean that Bargnani is on his way out too. Like father like son?

I think you're an idiot. You don't know what half these guys do, but you want them out? Do you realize Eric Hughes has been vital in the development of some of our young players, they he goes in nights during the season to work with anyone who will come to the gym? All I have ever heard of Hughes is positive, and he's not earning top dollar.

Will he still be working with team Canada? Maybe he wants to do that full time?

I also tend to think (no proof whatsoever) that it's Larry T protecting Triano, too. There just isn't another argument that actually makes sense. The other owners have all viewed the team more as an asset and have been fine with shuffling other personnel.
