Hinrich was also mentioned in the article. He could be traded here as well. LA absorbs Hinrich's contract and then trades him here for Barbosa + picks. Decent player to have for now and maybe as a backup next year depending on the circumstances.

If you think that drafting Bargs was wrong then trading him for lamb, Andre Drummond, Harrison Barnes would be what, smart? cool? the proper way to turn this organization around? Story up... 1 of those players will be in play with our own pick anyway.
Don't put words in my mouth. I have never said drafting Bargs was wrong. I have never advocated trading him until now. I simply think we can build a better basketball team with other pieces. I do not think he's a franchise player that can lead us to a championship, and that we are better served organizing our team with different talents.

Something like Brandon Jennings or even Tyreke Evans.

we would lose in a trade since Bargs contract is "cheap", we wouldnt be given a fair value, and idk why we should trade him, i mean, hes young

Honestly, I hope both stay, barring some amazing deals in return. They are the heart of the Raptors right now.

They've taken us so far in the past 5/6 years.

Re: ESPN: Teams inquiring about Bargnani, Calderon
yea by getting a lottery pick for Andrea Bargnani, thats cool. All everyones argument is that he's not a franchise player but yet expect to get some franchise talent for Bargs in return. How does't that make sense??. Maybe if we get 5 players that can top out with bargnani we can make a good run at it. Thats not saying hes the franchise guy or w/e... If he emerges as that then hey all the better... Theirs only a couple of superstar guys in the league, and guess what, they play with other superstar players... That franchise guy everyone thinks we need is a thing of the past or only reality for a handfull of teams... Its about building deep teams with defense and fire power for all the have not teams... Durant and Wrestbrook two franchise guys went for 50 & 40 and barely beat the nuggets w/o nene & gallo so its not a lost cause. Teams have won a championship without megastars.

The instances of that are extremely rare, to say the least.

blow it up..Jose/Barbosa/Bargnani/Ed Davis/Jerryd Bayless/DD for 6 unprotected 1st round picks (some of them lotto picks)..first time in NBA history! We've got to hit something with 7 picks right?

Winning a championship in the NBA itself is rare. In a 30 team league 60+ yr of establishment only like 8-10 different teams have won...

The problem with Bargs is his reliability not his current game. It's 13 games vs 5 years. In the year that he played hard, he couldn't stay healthy. The way he played before he went down was great. He can continue on this path or he could have problems for the rest of his career. Trading him is based on which risk you want to take.
A lotto pick is a gamble..it's only a good gamble if we get a high pick and draft properly. Maybe a solid prospect + a pick is better..it just depends on what Barg's value is perceived as.

i would think bargs would be on the move, so he doesn't clog val. Jose shows flashes of offense, and he's better than anything we got.

Re: ESPN: Teams inquiring about Bargnani, Calderon
Bargnani value isn't high enough to trade for a franchise guy nor is it low enough to where you should trade him for a solid prospect & pick. That solid prospect would look better with bargnani there anyway... Like trading Bargs for Jennings or Tyreke is hustlen backwards. Try adding those players with bargnani as those players by themselves would put us in no better position then we are today with bargs... If you wanna make a latteral move like that it isn't for the raps sake, its for the fact that ur not a bargs fan and would rather another pf... I mean some of us think Ed davis + bayless + a pick is good enough for jennings, and other would rather trade bargs for him as if we would be selling high on bargnani, com on......

Seriously why don't we trade Jose & Barbosa right now. Now that they finally have some trade value BC doesn't want to deal.

Jamario Moon was a role player. Jose, Bosh and Bargs were the "core" players according to BC back then and your team can only go as far as where your best players take you.
